I don't know how the new SE processes FX. Used to be you stick them in a separate container outside the synth and set polyphony. Now I find it hard to turn knobs if you do this.
Are you supposed to put the fx inside the synth container now?
What's the most CPU efficient way to chain the effects to the audio stream?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

there is no general rule, there is a serious problem with
polyphony management (definitively better with v1.0!)

but if your a have a doubt you can check if the signal is driven as it should (right click debug)

Does Voice Combiner do anything? In the help part it just mentions oscillator-related, like lfo. I haven't found any use for it yet.

Voice Combiner work fine but the real problem is the containers.

I have recently released a beta of Uniwave and i can not do
what i want. i have posted a question on support forum with
schematic and examples but no reply.

Inside Uniwave, VC is used to route the signal from VCF env. (poly) through the matrix (mono) but if i try to use multi/poly containers (with their own midi to CV) i can not control some signal like "volume".

Novaflash- I think that problem may be with conflicting midi messages. I did have success with using CK's midi sequencer which puts the second midi to CV outside the main synth container.
I'd also check & make sure all your M2CV's are on the same channel.

PS I tried to look at your bug diagram & will let you know the .png won't scroll to the ends at it should, as it should, so I can't see the whole picture. Can you repost maybe a .jpeg or .gif??

Previously tested, same and different channel, without success,
i'm a bit busy now, but i will make a precise example ASAP.

but back to your initial question, i don't know how
your project is designed, you should do something like this :
poly-container (output VCA driven by the ADSR inside)->mono-container FX.

but there is ton of exception, it's difficult to help based
on some sentences :)

I used to do this but the new SE has the polyphony on the midi CV only. Used to be you could specify polyphony on the container itself. (This was great for LFO's). Unless you know a way to specify polyphony on container that I don't.

I try more and more to create synths with SM nowadays. Way too much in SE 1.1 that is not backward compatible with the routine prefabs I've developed for speeding things up. Ofcourse I might need to get an account on SynthEdit to download the full 1.1 version to test it out better.
