That Wavethunder app seems interesting but I gave up on it soon enough as there is no sample project that makes some sound straight out.pinkjimiphoton wrote:nice finds, dom, thanks!
Right now I am in the foobar2000 plugins jungle since nekro mentioned in the free effects thread that there was a VST adapter for it, worth the harrassment as the configurability of that player is amazing which is news to me.
And found another rare vst puppy I don't think we've seen before:

Cheers.

Have you found the VST Wrapper Component? If not let me know and i will upload it. Its the best free audio player going i think/really like it alot
Along with VLC for video they are an awesome free combination indeed. The VST foo dsp wrapper is by the guy whom is behind all the 4Front Technologies software

Yeah I found the vst adapter easily, thanks, and I've put a bunch of EQs, compressors and a few other useful FXs for audio playback as well as the Acon chainer in its path and all that works rather well, pity there does not seem to be a component for integrating its buttons into the player UI, I find it a bit of a pain to reach for the tray icon to control it.

Yeah that would be great for sure. I usually just have an EQ running along with it to make my monitors sound more hi-fi like and less clinical and accurate so i do not have to bother switching over to a hi-fi system for general listening of my music library and it is also extremely useful for checking mixes that way also (in the dsp page resampler > vst component > resampler). So its a set and forget kind of thing on the whole. Although i do switch between various EQ plug-ins and/or presets so yes having it on the player interface oppose to a seperate tray icon/menu would be super. I do like the way foobar just plays back audio with simple folder monitoring and playlists instead of rearranging everything like iTunes does (iTunes filled up my system drive when i chose not to let it control folder structures - So it just copied everything and then apple'd it all overnight. Amusing now but at the time i was not happy at all!). So yes it would make it perfect if it was all under one UI but still as is its great

The poor man's ohmicide or whatever that junk is called, stick it on drums, also general purpose stuff w/sidechain. Compressor and distortion.

My damned avast!Antivirus keeps claiming the Chris Kerry/CK modules are infected though which they are not, this is not just your stuff/download links its happening on either for what its worth. I don't like AV software as its a pain in the ass but if i do not then i will get stung no doubt. Oh well not the end of the world and again

Thanks mztk!
Dean, I just found out that the best chainer to use in foobar is multifxvst, unlike with the acon one everything gets remembered on subsequent launch of foobar.

avast seems like scareware, I bought norton and avast will not go away, maybe I can delete it in safemode. I keep getting popup boxes from it.

As for 'CallMe' i do not have that one or have heard of it before im affraid/sorry. Probably a dad or Jimi one
On another note, I just tried to grab 'plug-in of the hour' which is/was Driv32 by Code Audio but no dice/website not found. So the link is dead on that one. Anyone have any of the Code Audio plug-ins? Would not mind trying them and archiving them - Not in a big hurry for it though
Cheers and all the best. I am stoked to see the re-up cult is still alive and well, Long may it last
Dean
