It's been a busy summer, and while working on Zen, I came up with a few Rhino fixes that eventually, turned into a new release. So here it is:

Rhino 2.09 released
This bugfix update fixes random crashes, especially on OSX.
It is also required for Zen compatibility.

To install the update, just download the installer from www.bigtickaudio.com and install over your previous installation.

These changes to the Rhino engine also made it into RhinoCM. So, CM readers, make sure you update too (get the updater here).

Hi 'Tick

When I open a Rhino preset in Zen, the new Rhino release 2.09 cuts off the note a few hundred msec after the note on trigger. Rhino 2.09 works fine as a plugin. My host is Live 8.1.6 beta5.

Any ideas?

Possibly - I haven't tried it with Cubase.

sorry to be such a bonehead but can someone clarify this point for me? the page says: "You will need the original RhinoCM install that came with your Computer Music magazine."

does this mean I need to do a reinstall from the DVD, or does this just mean I install the update right over the one that's installed on my computer? thanks.
