It only happen with JBridge.
With Sonar it doesn't happen when i use it's native bridge.
I had this problem for a few weeks and could get the same problem everytime.
The weird thing is that when i tried to replicate the problem last night it was gone and it worked perfect.

The only changes i did yesterday was enable the thread safety option and the performance mode.

I will do some more investigation today and let you know about my findings

I've just checked Arturia MMV-2 and Prophet-V2

They both need the Opcode 19 option set.

Problem is I had to manually set the value into the jBridge settings files for these synths. Still after the changes the gui behaved odd. Both these plugins have scaling guis. Usually the window scales with these changes, but with JBridge all behaves strange...The window was always taking the max space and jBridge control bar at the bottom only appeared when I used the gui with the maximum extention... maybe another option to set now?

Isn't it possible to initially set jBridge to the most secure options?

I guess there are still some things to be fixed in jBridge...

@TiUser:

The problem is that there aren't the "ideal" settings ( how wish there were ), what works for some hosts/plugins combinations won't work ( or will work worse ) for other combinations.

The scaling GUI issue is something I've experimented with in the past, so far I couldn't get it to work ( instant crash ), the best thing for now would be using the separated gui mode or closing and reopening the gui ( that should set it to the correct size ).

Try also AUXHOST_PRIORITY 3 ( or even 2 ) for OP-X.

I've tried more options with OP-X / OP-X pro - nothing really helped.

There is just one thing: It looks like the issue appears only if the gui is closed!

With option "run in existing auxhost" checked it seems to be suffucient when one plugins gui is open with multiple instances.

Maybe that is a useful hint?

A bit strange as most issues seem to happen in jBridge with open gui, isn't it?

the jbridged 64bit Omnisphere get blacklisted for some reason for Cubase 5. In Cubase SX3 it works. Any idea why it might get blacklisted?

I mainly use Omni natively in 64bit Cubase, but would like to figure out why this happens.

Do you try to use both versions at the same time?. Cubase must "see" just one at a time.

Silly me. I did have both the 32bit dll and the bridged 64bit one, and it only took the 32bit. I removed the 32bit one and the jbridged one loads fine. Thanks for opening my eyes.

Hi umd,

is there a known issue with automapped vst's and jbridge ?

I use Kontakt 3.5 (64 bit) jbridged into 32bit Cbase, with no problems, but now I use automap too, and Cubase hangs on exit.

Problem doesn't end there, as everything hands, explorer the lot. CTRL-ALT-DEL brings up the Win 7 (im using win7 64bit btw) screen and then I click on task manager which semi opens the window, but it doesnt fully load and that hangs too.

Only option is to CTRL-ALT-DEL and restart the whole PC. I removed Kontakt from Automaps' vst list, and it works again .

I wanted to check if there is a known issue with jbridge and automap, before I even attempt to get any help from NI, which should be done by Xmas if i'm lucky.

I have received reports of issues with some automapped bridged vst's in the past, but unfortunately nothing conclusive about the origin of the problem ( seems to happen with some combinations only ).

Could you try the "dirty close" option for Kontakt and let me know if it makes any difference?

How does the crash happens exactly? When you load the plugin? Any opcode error message popping up?
