I was thinking along the lines of a Gibson ES-175.

Definitely! Eastman also makes terrific jazz guitars that'd be great to sample.

But off course any other model would be a lovely addition too. Will you be making bundle deals for this Evolution series?

Yeah, the idea is that later on there'll be bundle deals for different electric and acoustic guitars in the Evolution series.

Absolutely! The good news is that jazz guitars with this type of traditional tone are readily available. For example, from Gibson, Eastman, or Heritage.

The main thing that separates the traditional, vintage jazz guitar from modern jazz guitar is that nowadays some jazz guitarists move towards using semi-hollow body guitars or even solid body guitars to cut down or eliminate feedback problems. Hollow body guitars sound incredible, but because of their large resonant chamber, you have to watch the proximity from your amp, and sometimes be limited volume-wise in this regard. So that's the main difference between modern and traditional jazz guitar tones.

I just recently finished VOXOS, so that's out of the way.

Update of EEGS is next, then the acoustic guitar after that. The Native American flutes will be released at an independent time, so I'm not sure when that'll be relative to these other releases.

I've made a lot of progress on the update for EEGS in the past few days already, and I think you guys will really love the additions/changes.

Also, bear in mind that with some of the changes and additions, I'm preparing the engine for the acoustic guitar, too. That way there's room to expand, for example, with the articulation selection in the strum palette. For EEG Strawberry, it has "Sustain", "Palm Mute", and "Muted". But for the acoustic guitar, that leaves room for a few other types of strums. For example, picked versus fingered strum. Or a strum using the thumb, which has a noticeably warmer, softer tone.

On your last point: i like that 'thumb' feature, because i've always avoided plastic getting between me and the strings ... mutes and damped strums will also be helpful for people who remember country blues ... i imagine that you're also going to think thru the kind of articulations that fingerpickers use, pretty carefully: hammer-ons, pull-offs, microtonal bends ... and maybe some extraneous sounds like the slide of fingers over wound strings?

Here are some of the last-minute features I've been implementing:

Lead Guitar:

- Controls to adjust the panning of each string on the guitar.

- Increased pitch bend range up to +/- 12 semitones.

- Entirely new legato handling engine for the best retrigger legato possible. (there were a few bugs with the old system when using the strum mode)

- Controls to copy/paste/reset layers.

Rhythm Guitar:

- You no longer have only one version of a voicing per patch, but three variations. You can switch between variations using the mod wheel, even without having to retrigger the held notes in the chord detection zone.

- Different release settings, so you're not limited to having the open strings ring after playing a chord.

- Duplicate strum palette octaves on either side of the chord detection range, for compatibility with left and right handed preference.
