The "problem" with oversampling in a clipper though, is that normally you need one of (1) some headroom to allow for filter ripple when downsampling, (2) clip again after down sampling, (3) use a filter with monotonic step response which will lose you plenty of high-frequencies.mike@manike wrote:If you're using a clipper I'd use something like Elephant where you can oversample.
