Well, I'm left without more solutions at present. Seems strange, as the removal of the 2 files gave me immediatly good results. Actually, I had two problems : some presets were missing and some others were duplicated, with 'ghost' results that were pointing to nothing.
Sorry for the remaining issue. I'll let you know if I think of something...

Thanks man. Really appreciate it. I'll just have to contact Steinberg, I guess. It's really disappointing as I'm working on a project right now and I'd love to be to preview sound effects and drag them onto the timeline.
