This.

Would be cool if Greg could do K2/3 patches as separate, and then do a full-blown asskicking K4 version. That'd be an instigation for K2ers to update! :D

They just strum the held down notes, so you can hold down a chord and then strum it. Allowing it to trigger notes on its own would require completely rewriting the lead guitar script to make structural changes. Hopefully the feature will prove useful in any case.
I see, hope you find time and inspiration to code it. That feature adds to EEG a lot of playability and more easy MIDI editing! :)
Would it help if the strum keys sustained the notes past releasing the main notes (as long as the strum key is still held)?

One of the other factors working against the scripting is that I'm working in K2 for that backwards compatibility. In K4 it would be a lot simpler to implement.
Ummm, I think it will be enough to play most type of powerchord rhythms, Greg!!!:D

Can't wait! :hihi:

Let me know if the octave pitch bend helps out on the MIDI guitar front. Though, I'm not sure if the MIDI channel detection will work in K4, so I might have to customize it for you, we'll see.
Will do. Thanks a lot for keeping it in mind and working on it. I hope others find it useful, too.
Greg, it works great!

I'm using HMT1 (free plug from Evenharmonics for triggering vsts with midi guitar) with Strawberry (new patch set).
I have one instance of K4 with one instrument loaded.
The pb range selectors now allow me to do slides and multiple string bending sending on channel one from HMT1 to all channels in K4. Thanks much for this.

I haven't tried GTak with Strawberry yet, but there's a section in the manual which shows how to trigger third party Kontakt libraries with it. It doesn't always work with GTak (some libraries are too heavily scripted for it). However, it will be good to know if GTak is also compatible since I think it has more functions/power than HMT1 most likely.

Thanks again,
Jim

Hey Greg, I'm also very interested in being able to have per channel pitch bends to use on the Eigenharp and Continuum. Just telling you so that you know there are other people out there that would like this :-)

Thanks for the new lead patches, I'll try out this weekend.

Take care,

Geert

Hey Greg, I'm having a problem.

Usually what I do after tabbing out a song in Guitar Pro, I take the guitar part and give each string their own midi channel.

At first I was using 6 spereate instances of EEG, then I saw that there was a Midi Guitar under the Picking Performance. With the old EEG it was working great, but now for some reason when I try to play an open on the Low D, instead it plays that last note that was played on another string, but on the Low D string.

I'm a little bit confused. I'm sure I'm the root of the problem, but I don't really know what I could have done. The other strings play their proper notes, on the proper frets just fine, it's just the Low D.

Other than this... I'm lovin' the update! =)

Thanks! ^-^

OOPs... never mind. I'm sorry I'm an idiot. I forgot about the Repeat Last note Feature. XD

Problem SOLVED! =)

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I haven't tried getting any feedback yet with EEG. Is it possible without having real pickups in front of my speakers?

Aiming for that! I just have to enter in a whole bunch more chord definitions, now that you have 3 variation voicings per chord. :)

How long could it take to enter three chords and the truth??? :hihi:

I'm still entering the chord definitions for chord variations 2 and 3, but here's the beta rhythm guitar patch if any of you want to try it out:

Just put it in the same folder as the other rhythm guitar patches. In the final update release, those old rhythm guitar patches will be in a "Legacy" folder.

Love the beta and what you've done with the strum engine!!!
Now let's have the rest of the rhythm patches (especially ROCK - Powerchords)!!!

I don't understand how to switch chord variations
