since shortcircuit http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1191.html by Vember Audio is a free (former payware) and strong sampler, i wonder why there are almost no sample banks/sample libraries for it.
Okay: it can load soundfont files but since there are many other free sample libraries existing - often in "commercial formats" like kontakt - i wonder why Shortcircuit is not getting the support it could have - its the best free sampler i know of and therefor has the broadest availability.
so what i'm trying to say:
it would be good to have these wonderful free libraries that are existing in a format that can be used with Shortcircuit! what do you think?

tbh its not the idea of short circuits to be another library stocker. its down to what sampler once were: synthesis monsters. don't come around with those stupid people turning it into "another sample player with a really large library". no one needs it as such, its more a tool.

i appreciate the sampling editing and "synthesis" features of ShortCircuit and i use it exactly in this way most of the time.xh9o wrote:tbh its not the idea of short circuits to be another library stocker. its down to what sampler once were: synthesis monsters. don't come around with those stupid people turning it into "another sample player with a really large library". no one needs it as such, its more a tool.
I am coming from HipHop which is all about digging for old records, sampling the illest parts and using them in a creative way with the help of your skills and a good sampler tool like SC - so i think you are talking to the wrong person if you want to explain how to use a sampler.
its just about these free Battery/Kontakt/Gigastudio Libraries that i would like to have easily available for SC too! basically like i said before - it would be enough to have them available in Soundfont format (SF2) which SC i capable of reading!
I am by the way talking bout great free Soundsets like these:
http://www.analoguedrums.com/details-bm.php
and
http://audiogeneticslab.com/instruments ... hord-organ
and
http://www.hollowsun.com/HS2/freepacks/index.htm
and
http://www.vstcafe.com/2010/04/yamaha-p ... ample.html
and many more all hardly available to those that do not have access to commercial samplers
