Wow, after listening to that guitar link, I'm fairly certain that I have to have Valhalla Shimmer. I love Freq Echo.

Maybe it doesn't make big sense but i suggest you try this mode with slow portamento/glissando or similar signals to see how it benaves

I suspect that in the particular case, the combination of both reversed grains (of then, rising pitches when dry gliding signal is pitching down, you see ?) and reverberation can blurr the wet signal significantly *

Depends on both size of the grains and portamento speed of the incoming signal, as far as i can figure out,
It could be a desired or unwanted effect but you might have to deal with, just have a try...
I just tried this, using ValhallaFreqEcho as a way of generating a sine-ish wave descending in pitch, running through ValhallaShimmer. The results pretty much sound identical to what I recorded here, no matter whether the grains are forwards or reversed:

http://valhalladsp.wordpress.com/2010/0 ... ng-plugin/

The blurring caused by the portamento seems to override the different amounts of blur between the forwards and reversed grains. Normally, the forwards grains (in my implementation) display far more blur, but with a portamentoed sine wave as the input, I couldn't really tell the difference.

One neat sound I did find, though, was to set the shift amount to 1 semitone, with high feedback, and singleReverse shifting. As the sine wave descends in pitch, the reverb ascends, at a rate determined by the Size setting.

Just a quick update: I've been working nonstop on the copy protection mechanism (well, nonstop in the few hours a day I can spend on this). I should be able to send the OSX versions of the plugin w/copy protection and installer to my beta testers at the end of the evening or some time tomorrow. My goal is to have the plugin for sale on Monday, but this might slip a day or two depending how the weekend goes. A demo will be available at that time.

Really looking forward to this, if the price is right, (and no C/R S/S or Dongle), then I'm in.

If you had a hand in EOS, then my Credit Card awaits...
