I don't have room for anything that large, I'm literally in a large bedroom in a shared house in the back lot of my landladys place in Northwest Austin, Texas, USA. My MPK49 barely fits, the desk my laptop is on only has room for the Akai MPD coming in, everything else has to be virtual (even the space UNDER the desk is full of books on music, recording, composition, marketing - all music-related).

I'm not sure I deserve pity, though - it does keep gear-sluttery down to just software and ever-more-powerful laptops.

i know what you mean about space, woolyloach!

i'm having to spend more time than i'd like figuring out where to put the audio interface that i absolutely positively have to buy (if i don't buy it orphans will go hungry and puppies will die). although that's more down to shape than space..
however, the larger monitors that i really need() may well cause some spatial confusion and vexation. at least the tetra (which lets face it- i'll never be able to make music again if i don't get one) is nice and small.

i bet he has minions called the Zimmerettes to tidy/plug/unplug cables and dust and stuff.

Actually that is a good idea building the shelf systems and such into the walls. A lot of the older homes around here did not have those built in shelf units like that.
