Hi umd,

unfortunately that makes no difference as dirty close is already checked for it to work with Kontakt anyway since Cbase 5.5.1

I'm not worried m8, it's not going to effect me in any way really, I just wondered if it was a known issue, which it appears to be.

I am not 100% happy with this automap anyway, still, it does what I want :)

Cheers anyways.

(about Hartmann) I'm still on XPx64 for now, don't work, I try Win7x64 on other machine, don't work. I'm always run as an administrator

Hi ( Sorry for the delay ).

I've been investigating a couple issues for the next update.

LeVzi and draft14, would you be willing to give a beta version a try? If yes, please pm with your email addresses.

Thanks.

Hi umd,

Ive been advised to try Automap 3.4.1, so I am testing that out , and so far it is working as it should, apart from mapping problems in cubase mixer.

But I haven't tried it with a jbridged plugin yet, so i'll let you know how that turns out when I get the time.

But yeah i'd test out the beta for you if this doesnt work :)

Cheers.

I just tried the demo in Cubase 64bit 5.5.1 running on Windows 7 64bit.

Here is my personal experience.

Postitive:
- jBridge can load ALOT of more plugins than Cubase's own lousy bridge. :)
- Even the older version of Waves Mercury Bundle plugins works now after I used the shell2vst.exe (it didn't work on the waveshell-DLL's though).
- I can load old songs made in 32bit environment! (if I remove the ".64" from the DLL-filenames)

Negative:
- jBridge renames all DLL's.
- A bridge solution doesn't seem 100% stable (like any bridge I guess), Cubase crashes when I move around plugins some times (not every time though). During less then 20 minutes I crashed Cubase 3-4 times just by disabling a plugin or moving it to another Insert slot in Cubase.
- It won't load VST Instruments (all the Insert plugins works though) in Cubase 64bit v5.5.1 unless I remove the ".64" suffix. There should be an option so that jBridge doesn't rename the DLL's (or did I miss that?).
- More CPU-usage than running in 32bit native mode (not jBridge specific but all bridges)

Conclusion:
For me it's not stable enough to use in production for new tracks - but it is a life saver if you want to open old 32bit tracks (so you can export to audio and then use only 64bit plugins...).

(My DAW is an Intel i7 920 with 6 GB of RAM with a Focusrite firewire soundcard).

Edit:
Btw, if jBridge generates logfiles after a crash I will be happy to send them to you J.

Hi, cnt.

Could you tell me the plugins that gave you more problems with it?

The next update I'm preparing will have an option to create bridging files without the .32./.64. suffix ( btw, they are not renamed, they're created with the same name as the plugin they point to ), since that has shown to cause problem with some hosts.

Thanks.

Not sure if I replied in pm or not, anyway, works fine with the older automap :D Jbridge+contact are back to normal, fingers crossed when I install 5.5.2 of Cubase later it stays that way.

I will buy it and then report back which plugins I have problems with.

Speakerphone from Audio Ease (http://www.audioease.com/Pages/Speakerp ... phone.html) seems to crash Cubase if I don't check the Opcode 19-option. After that it seems to work some times but mostly not (after clicking around in the GUI it crashes again, this time with another error msg). GUI also disappears from focus if I click anything, like a preset.

Last audiomaster opcode: 7
Last dispatcher opcode: 13
and also after that:
OpenFileMapping(..) - error 2.

Other than that ALL my current vst plugins (incl vst instruments) are working (only tested briefly, clicking in GUI and playing sounds), awesome!

Hi.

Thanks for the info, LeVzi. So far so good with the C5 5.5.2 update here.

Unfortunately there was a small problem with the initial update I was preparing, and I want to make sure it gets sorted out before putting the new version out.

( Although that problem seems to be solved by now, I still want to run some more tests. )

cnt, could you pm me with the email address in your full version? I have something for you to try.

Cheers.

I have another problem with some plugins.
Cubase hangs for some minutes but if I wait I get Dispatcher opcode 14 failed and then I can use the plugin anyways. This happens second time I hit the "open GUI"-button in Cubase. Anything I should try? Any option?

Post

Hi.

Enable the "prevent main host control when the GUI window is closed" option, it should fix it.

I was able to load Speakerphone2's demo here, you may want to give this new version I am preparing a try.
