This might be a daft question, but anyone know how to save a new patchname when saving a preset?
I've tried saving as .fxp files - the fxp's in the folder have the new name that I've given them, but, when viewed in the VST Preset field of a Live Device, they retain the name of the original patch upon which they were built.

Yes, all Plugins from TAL have this, the main presets are in the synth itself, that means, if you made your own ones, you have to load them into the synh...risome wrote:Not sure but all the plugins from Tal seem to do that?
If you open a new Version of Noizemaker, the main presets are in the list...

A small request:
When the Noizem4k3r VSTi is not in focus, can the first click on its GUI just select it? At the moment if I click the "wrong" place the sections collapse / expand too. All I want is to get it into focus.

Yes, I'd gathered that much.Xenox.AFL wrote: the main presets are in the synth itself, that means, if you made your own ones, you have to load them into the synh...

Seems a bit odd that the patch name that a user gives their own creation is ignored by Noisemaker, which instead uses the patch name of whichever internal preset sits in that slot.
And, if you're interested in feedback (if not, just ignore the following), I have to say my impression of this synth is that it is very much a curate's egg - really quite excellent in parts, but equally there are some fairly big omissions (no mod wheel or aftertouch routings!) and unusual implementations. In fact, the few times I've sat down to design patches with it I've quickly found that the limitations and quirks put me off.
Anyway, thanks all the same.

I just started exploring The Noisemaker v1.8 and the newly added envolope will definatly add to this synth! A great synth so far, but I agree that you should consider adding mod/aftertouch and the option of reseting default knobvalues. What I would really enjoy though, is a simple arp a lá TAL-bassline! Man, I just love hitting the arp button.
