Hi,
Pendle here, with an exciting announcement : )

Because it seems everyone and their dog has also started creating sample
libraries instead of making music I've been lying low for the past year
making music instead of sample libraries.

But I've been nudged back into action by the my lovely web-hosts who decided it
was time to re-design their business model , which resulted in me having
to entirely rebuild the site. Which is probably a good thing.

As i had never really intended on forging my own sample empire I never really
got round to thinking up a "proper" name, but now seems like a good time to do it
a little bit more properly.

So from now on my sample libraries will be nestled under the shiny new moniker
Sound Dust

I know, I know , its a Stereolab album, but its not an homage to their
cool motorik beats ( although i do quite like them and hopefully they won't chase
me through the courts). It just seemed like a nice way of describing what i do.

The site is new but the address hasn't changed ,its still www.virb.com/dulcitone1884 so hopefully it won't be too confusing. There is also another slightly neglected
site http://sound-dust.co.uk/ floating around which was lovingly built for me by Durk Kooistra, but i'm frankly too dim to use it properly. (sorry Durk).

Anyways , just thought i'd let you know , and launce the new site with a lovely new freeby, the Mouse and Mice Organs on the Free page.

I won't tell you what its made from , but the first person to post on this page what its made from can have all my other sample sets for free.

cheers

Pendle

This sounds great, thanks!

Is it made from samples of your own voice?

Post

Thanks for the free Mouse Organ. Now my guess as to what it is made from. Hmmm... It definitely seems to be a sound played in reverse. Perhaps a reversed -- and perhaps, slowed down -- autoharp sample?

Post

nope and nope.

But thanks for trying : )

It looks like a tape manipulation, maybe a record made on a tape recorder and finger slowed.
You can't always get what you waaaant...

Wouldn't it be terrible if it was a vuvuzela?.

Post

A mouse crying because she didnt manage to get the cheese due to the electromagnetic trap .......

( See how I read the manual .. )

( Though obviously a kazoo or a vuvuzela could have done it )
(maybe)

(.... sigh )
