offissa_pupp, would you mind elaborating on how you made your, uh, ..."song?" I love the sounds in it. 8) Uber-glitchy.

I downloaded it this AM (abour 5-6 hours ago). I have it locally and can post my copy if you all want - but I tweaked the tags...

you tm: thanks for your interest..

the 'song' is made in the buzz tracker. the main synth is a native buzz plugin called speccy II, which is an emulation of the sx spectrum audio engine i think. it can make some really crazy sounds when tweaked right. this is fed through some filters, distortion, reverb & compression but the original sound from the speccy synth is not altered that much.

vst used are: discodsp thrillme, chip 32 wavetable synth for the final chord, kjaerhus classic master limiter & a distortion unit called 'murder' which is free but i don't remember where i got it.

Markleford: ive updated the direct link again.
just sigend up with sectionz, seems like the download url is changing, but as for now i don't have any place else to host it. if the direct link don't work, go to sectionz.com & search for a mp3 'this morning'. i'll try to find some other host.

Thanks!

I've been listening to the submissions for a few days now, and there is a ton of good stuff this month. Free for alls are great comps, because you really get to hear people's individual styles, not some put on schtick... a few standouts for me so far:

VitaminD, your track is great and could be one of Moby's early underground singles...

UTM, your track reminds me of something by Belle and Sebastian crossed with the Meat Puppets. Your vocals have never sounded better, imho... those harmonies are wicked.

Tris, your tune is deliciously noisy and melodic, reminds me of the last couple of flaming lips records... and the wicked jump in the chord progression at about 0:45 just floors me... you must extend this tune!

Some great, great tracks again this month :o
Finally got my logic update this week  and just saving some money to get XP before being able to record any music again, so no entry from me this month
Reviews to come soon, though

Go on them, I'm sure I'm not going to like it though!

Well, it's an odd, but (IMH) successful combination of Elvis Costello and Bob Mould!

Leo Sayer?

That's not what I would call a successful combination!
