I second that. Even if the total cost of individual small libs was a bit more than buying the whole thing at once, sometimes it's a lot easier to by libraries in small pieces. Then again, I got all my Orange Tree samples during group buys, so I really can't complain.

But, like a lot of musicians, sometimes I have some extra money, and sometimes I'm scraping by from pay to pay. I really need to win the lottery...

As a user, you just have to figure out what's more important to you... that library or that round of beers at the pub!

Okay, just kidding. I know that things are really tough for everyone around these days.

I suppose you could allow former group buy users to use their coupon on this library instead. And yes... the combined library should probably cost a little less than separate purchases (as an incentive to go for the full). But having these (or at least some of these) available separately probably would make them more accessible to a wide audience, so I'm all for that.

I'm sure Greg will have a good solution for everyone interested.

Right now, I'm just listening to the demo and really liking it. Looking forward to Mesa Winds AND the Acoustic guitar. That Voxos library (from Cinesamples) is looking very very good too.

This is a very exciting time in terms of the libraries that are coming out and the level of playability that is now possible. Woo hoo!

Okay, just finishing up the manual, and then this will be ready to go! Oh yeah, and audio demos. Those will be FUN to make, though, this library practically plays itself! The sample library should be out within the next few days.

Greg,

I am interested to know what other instruments you used in the demo's. Are any of them your sample collections? I also really like the piano sound in Halcyon Forest.

I am considering wether to buy this now or wait to use my voucher on Acoustic. Any idea of when that will be released yet?

The piano is from my Yamaha Motif XS8. Actually, most of the other instruments are from that keyboard, too, though the bass in Halcyon Forest is CoreBass Cherry.

Of course, it got very delayed by all the other projects I was working on, and also due to spending more time trying different mics and setups to get just the right guitar tone. I'm not too sure of the release date, but I should have a better idea soon.

Wow i didnt know the motif was capable of such an array of sounds. Very nice. The bass particularly impressed me and i assumed it was cherry. Would be strange if you used anything else

Yeah, for having a 350 MB sound bank (which is pretty much the largest you'll find on any keyboard without expansions), the Motif has some of the greatest acoustic sounds out there--and Yamaha really picked up its game when it came to the synth sounds, too!

Well, considering the last group buy was just a few months ago, I don't really have anything planned on the horizon in terms of group buys, sorry... Let me know if you'd like me to look and see if you have any unused gift certificates, though.

Great-sounding flute(s), Greg. Another winner!

The only thing I'm not sure about is the raw tone of the flutes, as the demos all have that otherworldly, ethereal sound to them. From what I'm hearing, it would make using them in, say, a jazz trio quite difficult (unless I call it, "Live - From the Grand Canyon").

So, I guess the question is, are the demos indicative of the "pure" tone of the flutes? If not, would it be possible to get a short demo with no FX applied?
