Today i got an email that Sonicprojects Op-X Pro II is released:

http://www.sonicprojects.ch/opxpro2/description.html

OP-X Pro II is 159$ for new users, 69$ for OP-X users or 35$ (= 26,20 Euros) for OP-X Pro users:

http://www.sonicprojects.ch/opxpro2/purchase.html

For the upgrade you'll need your user ID, payment seems to be PayPal only.

I just got and installed the upgrade from OP-X Pro myself, the whole process went smoothly, i paid 26,20 Euros (= 35$).

Thank you. So did I actually! I just didn't realise it at the time. :tu:

Wanted to try the demo, but it's just insane. Almost constant noise, pitch drifting, etc, it's impossible to check out anything with this kind of limitations, because it only can produce crazy cacophony. Closed and deleted it after 20 seconds. Now I don't even care about this synth, while before trying the demo I was kinda wanting to buy it.

I think the FX have a detremental effect on the Synth Sounds. They sound so much more powerful (and authentic) without them. Still, the FX are a welcome inclusion. When I spend a little time with them, I'll appreciate them more.

For me, the browser type improvements are worth the upgrade price alone.

I didn't try the demo since i have upgraded from the old OP-X Pro version but if it works like you described it's really not nice.
I hate such demos where you could barely press a note before some noise burst etc. comes...

Anyway OP-X Pro was and is one of the most "analog" sounding softsynths available (together with TimewARP 2600 IMO) and AFAIK as an emulation it's almost perfect. With the update it's just better now.

Hi Rob,

i also didn't want to spend money for a new synth but 26,20 Euros for the upgrade from the old OP-X Pro was a fair price IMO.

Beware of such patches like "OB Tuned Unisaw" in the OP-X Pro II factory sounds or this will cut your balls off! :hihi: :hihi:

This is the kind of lead sounds i mostly try to do with new VA synths (hard- or software). Most of them fail and with others you have to add some "tricks".

Peter informed me I was the first user to upgrade (snagged it this morning before the mass email had even gone out, LOL). Definitely liking it so far. Several great-sounding new patches that show off its expanded features. One of the best (IMO) analog-emulating synths gets better. 8)

I'm messing about with this now. Looking at the Videos and discovering other things I like. I can Map & control any paramenter (in the VSTi) in Ableton.

The Panning functions are excellent too.

I upgraded just to get rid of this :bang: :nutter: demo version.
What were they thinking

But the new version is really good. I didn't use OP-X Pro much,
because it didn't click with me...
OP-X Pro II does. Good work.
