breakmixer wrote:Question for Peter999!

Are all the presets for the Op-X bank featuring the early presets from Op-X & Op-X Pro?

Why I am asking is because I want to just use Op-X Pro II and remove the other .dll's but still be able to use all presets!

Cheers...
We have the original OP-X PRO banks set cleaned for OP-X PRO-II available for download here (this is also the site where new sounds are posted, a first reload there already):
http://www.sonicprojects.ch/opxpro2/userarea.html

(scroll for "OP-X PRO-II Factory Soundset")

You can copy the entire folder to the library (into the "OP-X PRO-II" folder next to the dll), and then you have all foreign banks directly accessible, in an isolated folder

Of course most old sounds can be found in the new library too somewhere, but often improved, and in a new structure; only the very weak sounds have been adandoned

Btw, check the Wurly sound in the reloads:
Listen: Tramp Wurly - OP-X PRO-II

hmm.. amazing how much better than the Arturia emu it can resemble the JP ...
those pizzi plucks/harps in particular are immaculate !

thanks for the compliments :-)

many of the Jupiter patches btw. were re-programmed after the original patch-sheets from the old Jupiter-8, and compared to the excellent audio clips on http://www.synthmania.com/

Btw, if you should not receive your license mail (which is delivered immediatly by an automated system) within 30 minutes, then just send us an empty mail with the subject line "RESEND" from the same email address used in your purchase - then we'll resent it to you manually

In both cases don't forget to check the spam box too;
unwanted rejection often also can be avoided by adding our email address to your contacts before

NO full AU, I am very disappointed :(

Check the VFX Edition - sure, it's not as comfortable to use as an AU - that's also why we offer it for dramatically lowered price - but it works and offers the exactly same sound and features as the PC version; check the videos to learn how to record audio to a sequencer track using SoundFlower (with the example garage band):

Btw, this is the place where new sound reloads will be posted:
http://www.sonicprojects.ch/opxpro2/userarea.html

It already features the first small reload, amongst the sounds a really amazing Wurlitzer patch for all the Supertramp stuff, which you would not think it comes from a VA synth:

Listen: Tramp Wurly DS

On this site you also can download all the former banks if you furthermore want to use them (e.g. the factory banks of OP-X, OP-X PRO and OP-X PLAYER), with the previously not used area from 65-128 cleaned (there was some data chunk in this area in the old banks)

Sorry if this is already covered...

Im a OP-X Pro user and got the VM Bundle on 23rd August.

If I buy the upgrade to OP-X Pro II will I have to also purchase the VM Bundle upgrade?

Thanks!

Dave

Post

If you have a OP-X PRO license then just use the "OP-X PRO-II upgrade from OP-X PRO" upgrade which is the cheapest way to upgrade for you, since OP-X PRO is the higher grade product than OP-X included in VM Bundle

Post

Thanks indeed for the reply Peter!

I think Im confusing the issue - has the VM Bundle also been upgraded to version II? If so, is there a fee for the upgrade please?

Not a huge issue, just asking - gonna upgrade anyway! :tu:

Hi Dave :-)
No, VM Bundle has nothing to do with OP-X PRO-II; the included synth there is OP-X, which is not the same as OP-X PRO; so as a VM Bundle owner you are a holder of an OP-X license; to get OP-X PRO-II, you can take the "OP-X PRO-II upgrade from VM Bundle" upgrade which ist the same cost-wise as the OP-x upgrade, but with manual handling

Btw, OP-X PRO-II in fact is not an update as the -II may falsly suggest, it's an independent product; OP-X PRO-II has version 1.0; OP-X PRO will be furthermore sold and updated

Post

Just to clear up the confusion, here all the products witzh their current version number:

OP-X FREE: 1.0
OP-X PLAYER: 1.0

OP-X (VST): 2.1
OP-X Reaktor: 2.3

OP-X PRO: 1.2

OP-X PRO-II: 1.0

Stringer: 1.1

VM Bundle includes adapted versions of OP-X (2.1) and Stringer (1.1), as well as a standard VST license of OP-X (2.1)
