YES -- it is worth the price!ariston wrote:Title says it all. More specifically: is it worth 250$? Has it replaced all your other reverb plugs? Has it become your go-to reverb, or does it gather dust in your plugin folder?
I've been pondering this purchase (and alternative reverbs) for well over a year and finally pulled the trigger to buy Aether 1.5 after trying out the demo. Note that I own Sonnox Reverb, IKMultimedia CSR Reverb suite, several NomadFactory reverbs, several IR based reverbs (including the one in Kontakt), several freeware reverbs, a Lexicon MX400 hardware reverb as well as those included in various DAWs, WAV editors and VST multi-effects.
Although I'm a new Aether user, I would have to say that I expect:
1) I will still make regular use of my other reverbs, yet ...
2) Aether will be my "go to reverb" starting point, and ...
3) If I were only allowed one reverb, it would be Aether.
Very impressed. It is so incredibly clean, warm and natural sounding. Wonderful presets and easy to use interface for tweaking. Lots of variety.
If I were setting up a DAW system from scratch, this would be one of my first VST effect add ons.
