Hi All,

I would really love some feedback/ recommendations on good schools in the US or any where in Europe that teach electronic music production / sound design etc.. id prefer to do a course no longer than 1 - 2 years..

I have been using ableton live for 2 years now and i've decided i really want to focus on it more and learn as much as i can. Im into tech house / minimal.

Would be great to hear if anyone else is studying music production somewhere and what they think of the course .

Thanks,
Rach

In the UK, I've studied music production at the Academy Of Contemporary Music in Guildford, whch was fine, if you're a Logic user.

I'm currently studying song writing at Point Blank in London, which also teaches music production on Logic, Cubase and Ableton.

They also offer these courses on line.

I've only been studying at Point Blank for 2 weeks, but the course has a slightly more pro feel about it, but they are both fine.

All the best

Steve

Hilarious parody of those audio engineering schools that guarantee you a job.....nowhere.....

Because as everyone finds out sooner or later. The good audio engineering job market is fierce.

If you don't laugh you just might cry.

Check this must see video out and take a look at my other wacky vids....send the link to your pals!

Also in the UK, I studied music production at the School of Sound Recording. Every local music producer I know has learned or aspires to learn there. They have good studios, excellent tutors, lots of industry partners and many specialist courses. Also, most of the local recording studios take interns from there.
