Thanks for the quick fixing! Whatever you have fixed in 2.), it works now. I can change the preset without crashing, even after having changed the location in the browser.sonicfire wrote:
Thanks for help!
1.) Changed to align left.
2.) I'm not 100% sure what causes this, but i might have an idea. I just recompiled Phenome and re-uploaded it. Please download it again, and give it a try !
I really appreciate your hard work for this amazing freebie!

First off, thanks for this cool and useful program. My problem is regarding a project I created using v 1.3. When I upgraded to v 1.5, that previous project would not load properly. So I'm guessing Phenome is not backward compatible starting with v 1.5. I reverted back to v 1.3 and my project is working again. Is there any possible workaround?

You could try renaming the v1.5 DLL, depending on the host you could have both versions side by side and use the 1.5 version only when you explicitly want it.

Mhh can you try saving the whole setup as a FXP? and then loading it into v1.5.?DJ_Bach wrote:First off, thanks for this cool and useful program. I gave it a try. I really like it so far!
The multi layer ability is very nice.
The GUI is good. But I'm not sure about the 3D inclination of buttons and shadows on buttons.. maybe you can do without them and gain some visual clarity..
Regarding the preset browser:
it gets affected by the PC keyboard presses. I often use my keyboard to trigger notes (in Renoise or Live) so I don't like that.
I'd rather have a bank browser. It seems more useful for a multi layer player than a preset browser.
Unload soundfont button doesn't work.
I think I'd prefer if the default quality was set to 'high'. No biggie, tho.
Also, I'd prefer if the volume and panning control responded more directly to the cursor movement. But again, no big deal.
All in all, nice work and I'll definitely keep checking for it!
ps. I could do with less Flash on your website.
But I guess for people without Flash blockers it shouldn't be an issue..

1. Yes! So that you can easily save layers and/or copy and paste them.Regarding the preset browser:
1. is it supposed to save/load only one layer? It should definitely save the whole session, IMO.
2. it gets affected by the PC keyboard presses. I often use my keyboard to trigger notes (in Renoise or Live) so I don't like that.
In the next release you will also be able to save the "whole" setup at once / in one preset. For now you can do this also already using the FXP save function.
2. Oh, not sure if i can do something about it - but i will investigate
If not make sure you just click somewhere else or tweak a control before doing something in your host.
Yup. Hopefully fixed in next release!Unload soundfont button doesn't work.
High uses around 8 times CPU for playback and for each voice so i thought it would be best to leave it a "eco" for default. I will perhaps add a global quality switch!I think I'd prefer if the default quality was set to 'high'. No biggie, tho.

I know, but the software i used for designing this website is so nice and straightforward ... (but flash 100%, yes). But why would you block flash?
I'm using FF with ABP (AdBlock Plus) and am fine with it
