They just got them in stock. I'm loving it at the price, just 999.99 USD (that would be no tax for me) for a guitar that on paper is japamese, has the string tree (don't get me started) and the double-locking trem system that is the "preferred" model. I really like my S but I've just got what i wanted: a real made in japam model...Might take out the stock pickup's and drop in a set of EMG's or SD Blackouts - Active Is Awesome (don't get me started) but then again so are these BareKnuckle Pickups, Each one scatterwound by hand and for passive buckers is about as good as it gets:

I could not resist and by gosh its 8) as they come
Woah!!! i thought you were actually going to not buy that one, how wrong i was :o and your taste in retrofit/after market humbuckers is spot on IMHO

All i could afford today was another used Fulldrive 2 (£80!) and another humble but very useful used Boss LS-2 Line Selector (£20!) :(
I want me more japam dam it :x

Nope, not gonna do it. Two things kept it in the "not quite right" category:

-Sloppy mushy vibrato with absolutely no way of doing double stops. I want the ZP system in the next one (like the one I have)

-Big huge cavity where I'm going to have that super-boingy spring ring! I don't want to cough up a grand AND have to spill parts into it to get it "playable"

:uhuhuh: I used deductive reasoning TO beat the gas :D I could have easily deducted it the other way and justified it.

:D Fair play my friend, i admire your willpower and the two points in question are very important ones when were talking that sort of money i fully agree. Still i tried and all work and no play...etc. ;)

He's cured, cured! Hallelujah!  :wheee:

The fact that you used the term 'deductive reasoning' shows how far you've come. You are now ready to reenter society as a well adjusted individual so go forth and multiply. :D

I like this thread! I've come to realize looking at gear is hurting my music making time and I have everything I need. I can finally afford quality software and hardware, but I've gone overboard.

I just sold a 1,000 worth of gear. Feels good.

I'm gonna dig into Alchemy and see if I can finally get into it, if not I'll sell that, too.

Strongly considering selling Live, but I bet when version 10 comes out I'll want to re-buy.

Did not buy ohmboys package with %50 off coupon. That was rough. I didn't really like the demo video sounds, but it was such a good deal.

Skipped Tassman 4, relatively easy, but some user creations were nice.

Komplete 7 upgrade is tempting, but I can wait for 8.

Current temptations:
Reaper and Renoise because they are so cheap. Electro-harmonix Germanium 4, I don't think I can resist this one. Behringer BCF2000, probably will get this. If the price is right and it gets released this month I'll get Valhalla Shimmer too.

I will buy Audiomulch because I feel guilty I've been using the demo for 10 years on and off.

My plan is after this month to wait a twelve months before getting anything else. Only thing I'll break for is an upgrade to Logic, Komplete and maybe Live.

Reaper is a great investment, and though the forums over there have gotten a tiny bit like kvr lately, it's still a wealth of information and support. I don't consider the reaper idea to be "gas", hosts are important. Do the demo, it's unprincipled and check out these vids

Best of luck with that, Mate :) However, you know where to find us if (or when) it fails.

Wow, nice to see so many folks breaking GAS!  :hihi:

Today I bought:

- 2 soundbanks for Alchemy Player
- Cakewalk Rapture
- An expansion pack for Rapture
- An expansion pack for Dimension Pro
- Some DEAD FISH IN A TRAY (sushi) - I know, not GAS-related

I'm seriously considering an EWI USB as well. :help: :help: :nutter: :bang:

Oh, and that's a nice looking guitar but I hate whammy bars and prefer a fixed tailpiece. :hihi:
Bandcamp: https://suitcaseoflizards.bandcamp.com/
Linux Mint, Waveform 13 Pro, U-He synths, Audio Damage effects,.

Oh, I've been bitten by the whammy WHAMMY :hihi: (but not that whammy ;) )

pod HD comes out in a couple of days, who's GAS is going to get the best of them??
