Hi,
is anyone using Cantabile with Steinberg MR816 CSX?? I'm going to buy it to replace my live setup current including audio card, mixer, external FX and MIDI interface, and I'd like to see if anyone is using it with Cantabile.
Any comment is really appreciated.

Basically it should work.
Just with it's many in's an outs of the Steinberg interface you will have some to do to manage all this in Cantabile - i.e. soundcard <-> master bus assignments and masterbus <-> vst assignments.
The basic audio flow in Cantabile is simple stereo and also there is a mighty bus system under the hood there is no comfortable gui to master this and there is no special mixing either - more a kind of leveling.

Running Cantabile Lite here with MR816CSX with no problems. I don't do anything complex with it, though.

Oh, no, I use the full version of Cubase. Works fine with that. I have a pretty straight-forward setup, I record guitar and vocals mostly, haven't recorded a full band or anything, but the interface has been great so far, been using it for about 6 months now.
