Ok solved. When you load a Soundfont and it seems that "nothing has changed" - have a look at the bank numbers / bank selector. Since Phenome cannot know where a particular Instrument is located/saved.
But when you save this as a Phenome-Preset for further Usage, Bank and Patch changes will be remembered so it will load back correctly!

Sonicfire, can I suggest that switching patches could be quicker still than reaching for the mouse? How about using the left/right arrow keys, or the inc/dec buttons a midi controller to sweep through the "soundfont folder" that contains all the various .sf2's. People then could categorize their files into folders or something.
Just a suggestion... I find the synths that don't let me browse quickly lose my interest fast.
Unless of course I know the EXACT sound I am going for...

You will be able to browse soundfonts also using the keyboard (up/down keys) in the next release. I can add up/down buttons, of coursevaisnava wrote:Sonicfire, can I suggest that switching patches could be quicker still than reaching for the mouse? Sounds great with the modulation matrix. Good luck with your project!

My 'no-brainer ' price for an excellent soudset is $20-$40sonicfire wrote:Thanks! The project is getting bigger and bigger. I have huge plans with this pluginjobromedia wrote:Sounds great with the modulation matrix. Good luck with your project!(in Terms of Soundbanks/Presets)
A collection of vibes, marimbas, steel drums, gloks, and wind chimes
would be very tempting for making Island rythms using Phenome.
Cheers

The root of the soundsets would be SF2s, wouldn't it? That makes them somewhat open (minus the specialty patches and such). I have always liked open format samplesets, so that increases my interest there too.

Correct! So when purchasing "Expansions" for Phenome in the future you will get Phenome-Presets (for the Layers) and the corresponding Soundfontsaudiojunkie wrote:The root of the soundsets would be SF2s, wouldn't it? (So besides the presets you always have a new bunch of soundfonts to play with or to create your own presets with)
It also very easy and quick to create custom presets/sounds with Phenome
