Oo! Let us know how they sound if you do. I've been keen on hearing any opinions about them. Would love to stick them on a thinline tele.
Been there a while ago.
Amazing new guitar PUs 8)

Recommended ! :tu:
The only detail I'm not so sure about anymore is the Strat quack thing, it's more of a unique tone, really, although a pretty cool one.

Broken truss rod? :?
Could be, but it sounds more like something got left behind. I am going to try and "mic it up" just for the heck of it (later when I dig out my mic and stuff)...good luck to me on THAT
Sounds like fun-- :D

Now if only I knew were my contact mics went :?
I highly doubt it's a broken truss rod  It might just be a loose nut behind the guitar...and by that I do not mean the guitar's nut or any hardware on it :hihi:

Seriously, my first guess would be whammy related

It does seem like something is loose. Anyways, your idea is a good one and sometime in the next 24 hours I'm going to try and do that.

trimp1 - Maybe going for something like this: http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Ba ... acg1,txmq7 would be a more cost effective way into wang bar fun. I like it alot for that price, i spend more on a single stompbox rather often. They have an original 80's pacer used in my local which has been yelling 'buy me you hockey puck headstock lover' but i have kept it off due to being less than flush at the moment. Heck its bad when an 80's pacer is one's idea of 'vintage/classic' :help: :hihi:

Admitedly the 'new' Kramer's are not of the same quality as the originals by any stretch but for the money they play well and have potential for dropping in better pickups for almost less than an original floyd rose would set you back or in the same ballpark. Hope you find something to save on the £'s/$'s man :D

Recently bought a brand new Vintage V62 for £100 off ebay. Real bargain as the wilkinson hardware is certainly a cut above squier level. The fret work left something to be desired though, I had to do a level on it. Can't complain really as they are £200 in the shops.

Anyway, a good platform for any other bargain/cheap guitar lovers in the UK and EU :D

the Floyd Rose I was using for my scar face came from my Kramer Ritchie Sambora...I didn't buy it for the signature name though, I still have the body, neck and all the hardware. The neck had the headstock broken, I was jamming, spun and it hit a wall breaking it. Tomorrow I'll get the neck out and snap a pic, one of my best repairs ever. I took part of a jackson neck to repair it...actually all I need to get it playing again is to level the frets because I did a fret job on it a few years later. Then I started plucking parts from it and never finished...damn nice playing guitar in it's day (with stars on the neck) horrible color...not hot pink but pink/red
