Hi,

It seems the Pad output-select toggles are not functioning in Live8.2 - worked fine in 8.1.x..

When I click on it, the other outputs appear, I click on one and the output remains unrouted and the GUI unchanged (S01).

Anyone else experience this?

Pretty inconvenient bug..

yup, i see that too; the output never changes from S1, though I can see all (s2-8,m1-8) outputs in live audio track input; this is version 5.0.5 b1 (is that still the latest?)

I'm on 5.1.5 b1 - OSX I should say as well..
at least it's not just me!

I should add that the AU version functions as expected - outputs are satisfied on request.

I debugged this and there seems to be a fault in Live: When starting RMV we check back with Live what outputs are actually available to the plugin, and with version 8.2 Live reports that only a single stereo out is available.

Thanks Peter (Live seems to cause me so many frickin' problems). I've mailed Ableton with a fix request and pointed them to this thread.

Thanks CinningBoa, to be precise its the AudioMasterPinConnected call which is coming back from Ableton as anything but first Stereo not being available.

I had a reply from Ableton, and a question:

"I only had a demo version of RMV available and at least this version showed just one stereo output for selection in Live 8.0.4, Live 8.2.1 and Logic 8.
But interestingly all outputs were available in Live's audio track input chooser.

Is it necessary to enable the multi-out functionality somewhere in the plug-in? Or do you no if this feature isn't available in the demo version?

I've checked the multi-output functionality of EZDrummer and it worked as expected. So it's not a general issue but we did some fixes for other plug-ins maybe this broke the multi-out support for RMV..."

I guess the demo doesn't have any routing restrictions? I don't have the opportunity to test at the moment.. but it sounds like he's getting exactly the same behaviour, but also in pre-8.2. I'm sure an NFR won't be a problem for the Ableton team, if they need it?

Thanks for following this, the demo is indeed Stereo only, a NFR is no problem.

Hmm, seems not to work out. I've been contacted by a couple of people from Ableton, each being quite astonished that the communication broke down, however, after all I now again get no replies or any explanations; I'm sorry guys. All they told me before going silent is, that they changed something in Live and that they can confirm its broken, but thats it.

Peter - that's crazy! And I'm not a happy customer with my broken VST. I"m going to see if I can push anything from the customer side.
