Hello!
Now I have the wonderful Pro Solovst, I was wondering...
what preset did Tony used for this legendary solo? On the studio version, I believed he recorded it twice on two different octaves, but it seems to me the Trumpet preset. And on the Archive version, I can't guess what sound it is.
Are there any web pages with info on what presets were used? Some are very obvious, like the Fuzz Guitar 1 on In The Cage. But for example, on Colony of Slippermen I hear Oboe and even Steel Drum

Great anecdote! In memory of all the vintage instruments that died on the hands (and feet) of angry musicians. Just think of Wakeman's mellotrons!!!

Hi!
I just bought the Pro Solovst as well! Great simulation!!
I'm wondering about "The Cinema Show" solo, Tony Banks used there a lot of presets, any ideas of the different sounds used?
Thanks

Ouaouh thank you so much!!
This is a great way to know more about this instrument, I'll listen carefully then!! Actually my fav sound is the fuzz guitar sound, with delay, it's great, at the moment, I use it more than Minimoog leads...
Do you have any recommandation of a space echo emulation?
Thank you so much

you're welcome Hydromantic! As far as I'm concerned, GS-201 by Guido sounds as good to my ears as a friend's vintage Roland Space Echo. Keep in mind that it's mono, so sometimes the tape delay on, say, Guitar Rig will do the trick in beautiful stereo.Hydromantic wrote:Ouaouh thank you so much!!

Hi everyone!
Sorry about bumping an old thread but anyone knows which sound of the Pro Soloist Tony Banks used for In The Cage? It's the fuzz guitar 1 or 2? With some effects maybe?
Thank you

a bit late, but... It's Fuzz Guitar 1, with tape echo.
