In the Sound File Browser add the abilty to scroll through the numerous amounts of sound files (.wav etc...) with the up and down arrow keys. Also add the option to have the sound auto-play as you scroll. This makes auditioning sounds very fast and more ergonomic.

Also auto-play refers to when you mouse click on the sound as well, so you don't have to specificly click on the play icon. So only when auto-play is swicthed on, does the sound play when you click on the sound name or when you use the arrow keys to scroll on to the sound.

It is tedious and slow to have to click on each individual sound to listen to it, especialy when you have such a small target like the Play Icon.

The Play Icon might be good for auditioning 1-5 sounds but not when you want to quickly audition through 20-100+ sounds.

Another Feature along the lines of quick audition auto-play is: If you have a beat playing via midi and you select a pad to load a new sample on, when you are srolling through with the arrow keys or mouse, make the selected sample take the place of the already loaded sample, so you can hear what it sounds like in the groove. but if you close without selecting it (double click) then the original sample stays.

To the LinPlug Team - Feel free to PM me if you want me to explain this concept better.
Imperfection is beauty.

Normally I hate adds, but not at KVR, look at all the the toys I can get.

Ok, lets take it step by step:

a) arrow keys, we tried that but had some trouble as many hosts seem not to support it at that time,
maybe its time to try again
b) autoplay ... good suggestion
c) clicking the button vs the name; I'm not seeing this as a advantage, at leastthe button is much wider than
the name is high, so the chance to hit the right sport shouldnt increase much (not sure if thats well explained)
d) preview in context, you can do that by loading a sample and use the arow keys next to the filename
on the "normal" (non file browser GUI), wehere you also have access to all the sound shaping parameters

Many thanks for this thoughtfull suggestion!

Feature request :)

I'd love a pattern grid similar to GURU's or AD's Tattoo.
Any one else?

Also, the importing/routing of external FX, say d16 group's Devistor, Fabfilter's Timless, etc. into each pad.

Thanks and sorry if I've missed any of these already built in.

Edit: I'm thinking may be, the "importing/routing of external FX" is not best as I can rout each pad to a channel and add the fx there, I'd suggested this as because of the possible CPU savings, but may be not? hmmmmm /EDIT

I thought I would like this when I first got into RMV but after many hours of use of Tatoo, I felt restricted. That's why I only use the piano roll to edit the drums tracks as it gives me a better vision of the beats' evolution throughout the whole track and more flexibility.
To me, RMV is really one the the best drums plugins for electronic music.
The only thing I don't really like about it is the factory library. But used with external samples, it is my tool of choice.

edit: I'd also love browing samples with the arrows.
I have another suggestion: when you click on the sample, it plays back immediately which overlaps the mouse clicking sound.
In Battery 3, there is a sligh delay (about 0.5s) between the selection and the sample playback. I find it really handy, especially for bass drums samples.
