Yes, they will; you even can download all former banks as one package cleaned for OP-X PRO-II here

Sorry if it is already mentioned on here, but how long will the reduced price on this new version last?

Geez, haven't you got time to go through ten pages?Examigan wrote:Sorry if it is already mentioned on here, but how long will the reduced price on this new version last?
Only joking, it's till the end of the year so Peter told me, it's been confirmed in this thread by Peter too!

Theoretically this should be possible since the import/loading is synth internal now - at least is should be possible if kore on the software-internal-side has the standard fxp/fxb/chunk interface, which I suppose
There's one sure way to find out: check the demo version - the demo has no limitations in that area

+1 -- and I'm an existing customer! Come on SP, this is just too paranoid.Megakazbek wrote:Wanted to try the demo, but it's just insane. ... Closed and deleted it after 20 seconds. Now I don't even care about this synth, while before trying the demo I was kinda wanting to buy it.
Also disappointed in no AU version for Logic. I love my PCs, but my music is on the Mac for Logic.

there's an alternative demo online since more than 3 weeks (only featuring audio breaks, for both vsti pc and vfx mac) - it has been posted here several times

Thanks Peter -- I checked both this 10-page thread and the 4-page one you started, but didn't see anything about an alternative demo being added.Peter999 wrote:there's an alternative demo online since more than 3 weeks (only featuring audio breaks, for both vsti pc and vfx mac) - it has been posted here several times
I do now see what you mean though. For anyone else confused, if you go to this page: http://www.sonicprojects.ch/opxpro2/macversion.html
You are offered both the original demo (with pitch changes -- not very usable) and the updated demo (no pitch changes) -- so hit the one on the right and just install it over the original one in VFX if you have already tried that like I had:
> Download (15mb) audio breaks only: Download
I was confused because the text underneath still says:
> Demo limitations:
- random pitch transposing
- some occasional noise bursts
- restart needed after 20 minutes
It was not clear to me that the first limitation only applies to the left hand download.

ah yes, that might be a bit missleading; will be adapted once we've decided for a final version

OPX-Pro is a beast and a beautiful work of sonic and visual art. I have massive amounts of respect for Peter and Sonic Projects.

Hi,
I upgraded to OP-X Pro II recently. First I have to say that this is a stunning synth. Formerly I used the standard OP-X, but I used it quite rarely since I don't need those vintage synth sounds very often. But OP-X Pro II is a different thing. It's really a huge step, feature-wise and sound-wise, compared to OP-X. It can sound like nearly everything in the old analog age and it makes a lot of fun.
Anyway, there's a reproducible issue using OP-X Pro II in Reaper:
- create a new track, load OP-X Pro II into the effect rack
- insert a new midi item
- insert one or more notes, playing from start to end of this midi item
- hit the loop button in the transport control bar
- hit the play button
Now, when the cursor reaches the end of the midi item, instead of jumping to the start position and play the loop again, Reaper always crashes. This doesn't happen with any other plugins, so I suspect OP-X of crashing Reaper.
Is anybody able to reproduce this?
