OT, but maybe not that off:
If everything's well, I'll have my new 64-bit 4cored system up and running in this week. (After 8 years of no new pc, I'm not really used to new stuff... :D :D)

I'd like to ask that if I have a Reaper x64, then will it be able to run x86 vstis?
Or I'll have to have an x86 Reaper installed for 32-bit plugins?

And the last question is, does 64-bit matter anyway?

Thanks for your answers, and cheers, David!
Just let its Sound do the talking: http://www.synthmaster.com/

Even if you are an "admin" processes dont run under admin credentials unless you specifically tell them to. So if you use the default file structure you need to run your host as admin (right click the icon/runas administrator) to enable write to those directories. You would only need to do this once, then you can run normally.

From what I understand Reaper 64-bit has it's own jbridge-like implementation that allows you to run 32-bit plugs inside a 64-bit daw. I prefer to run Reaper 32-bit for 32-bit plugs (and ReWire) and Reaper 64-bit for only 64-bit plugs (mostly testing at the moment). All you have to do to enable this is add your 32-bit vst path to Reaper's preferences.
