OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only do they have it in stock, but it qualifies for NO INTEREST financing

Well, It's already in a VERY short period of time looking pretty grim...looks like I'll be saving the money after all.

plus it's a safety hazard leaving those empty synth-stand corners exposed like thatwoolyloach wrote:..which means I need to buy a second keyboard to sit on the top tier! Can't let that space go to waste, right?![]()

C'mon guys we all know that to buy more gear (sooner or later) is an inevitable fact of live for us electronic musicians -- almost as sure as death and taxes -- so we don't even need to promise -- it's gonna happen for sure sooner or later as long as we're still alive ... it's a force of nature, an inevitable consequence of our existence, a fatality of life, it's written in our destiny, etc, etc....

true enough. the crazy thing is i spent half a lifetime touring and I rarely bought new equipment. i didn't want to drag more crap around, so my purchases were all carefully chosen and I made do with what I had. I probably had more of a signature sound then too. now i have more options than i know what to do with; and i'm constantly craving more.Axis1~SL61 wrote:C'mon guys we all know that to buy more gear (sooner or later) is an inevitable fact of live for us electronic musicians -- almost as sure as death and taxes -- so we don't even need to promise -- it's gonna happen for sure sooner or later as long as we're still alive ... it's a force of nature, an inevitable consequence of our existence, a fatality of life, it's written in our destiny, etc, etc....

I don't think it's such a bad thing. People collect antiques (and spend insane amounts of money). All they do is sit on a shelf and look pretty.trimph1 wrote:I just assume as such------![]()
At least we use the things we buy and get plenty of enjoyment out of them. I will admit i've spent £1,000s on gear in past few years but i've really curbed it in the past 12 months. Buying maschine has got a lot to do with that and the big leaps forward in the quality of softsynths.

Yeah, the GAS tank is empty
Wow, a major let down this "pod hd" thing....already boxed up and I'm about to head out to the store for a return. Oh well, I know to stay in the software realm for sure

I couldn't agree more -- we actually put our expensive "virtual toys" to good use (work, play, what-have-youmusikmachine wrote:I don't think it's such a bad thing. Not one of the softsynths I've bought sits idle for long. (And you don't have to dust 'em. That would be A LOT of knobs/sliders/keys to clean.
And you are not kidding about noticeable[/u] "big leaps forward" in softsynth quality -- these latest beasties I've bought are STAGGERINGLY-good. I mean "open my eyes without burning the corneas" kind of good. (I'm not sure what that means, but I'm not deleting it.

(Dang 3@$%@&*$ are crowdin' me in here! I can't get any work done because I'm always, "Oh, lemme try THIS with THAT synth, and maybe this other fella can modulate that wave a bit sharper -- no, it's already pretty good, too, hmmmm"....
Leave me ALONE, you 3@$%@&*@ -- I have SEQUENCES that need a-polishin'...
