it annoys me a bit that to play more than one loop pattern smoothly one after the other you have to sequence it all out then render but then you cant loop the result, so you have to plan exactly how long your song is .. not that great for jamming against in this case.. although you can select minor 'randomness' to occur in each pattern, it still would be good if you could loop a couple of different patterns over.

One good app for jamming along to in a similar way to band in a box auto-accompaniment is called chordbot , it really sounds pretty nice, just type in a chord progression and pick a style (the styles are pretty mellow mostly but sound quite nice-well sequenced, not old style 'GM' sounding)
Another option- The real book, with about 1000 jazz song charts and the ability to have it play them for you (piano/bass/drums) at any tempo/key and about 10 different styles (all jazz related so far- more on the way we're told)
You can also vary volume on each instrument- excellent!

Is this a first step towards Reason + Record for iPad I wonder... Rebirth (officially released by Propellerheads) on (ios) for iPad

As a studio, Nanostudio easily. As an instrument, Morphwiz. But I'm really impressed with Electrify and I can't wait to see what Amidio comes up with for MINT.io. It should be awesome
Meh.
