post here your features requests for NoiseMaker:

mine:

- PW also for the 2nd oscillator pulse (movin FM knob to the master section i guess)
- global pitch (osc1+osc2+sub) routable also to the LFOs and to the fader Envelopes(currently global pitch can only be routed to the new draw enevelope)
- SAW option for the sub oscillator (an extra saw always useful for saw stacks and 3osc basses)
- command to reset knob to default value (right click maybe? or shift+click as ctrl+click is allready taken by fine tuning )
- allow higher poly (option for 8, 12, 16)

thanks :)

Thanks for that. It shoud be possible to add some of these features. Dont know if i can implement the reset control for knobs... will try it.

I'd also like to vouch for Triangle to be added as an option to the sub osc. A Triangle will fill out the bass nicely, and has just a few harmonics which reach up into the sound above and it all sort of gels nicely.

I've never understood why Square is the most common sub osc waveform... Oftentimes a square sounds horrible played very low down, and it's a very distinctive timbre which often threatens to cover up the main oscillator sound.

Another thing I'd enjoy would be two destinations for each mod source, preferably with but maybe without a different amount knob for each one. I love modulating two things with one LFO or envelope, it makes very distinctive sounds.

Finally - A fine tune knob for the bit crusher, which is modulatable by mod sources. You can get some sweet PWM type dealies by moving the crush knob a little bit, methinks.

Oh, yes, and a way to blend the chorus, perhaps just one knob for both chorii(?!) to cut down on clutter/complexiveness.

Those are my suggestions and again, thanks for making these awesome synths! (I also really liked elekt2o and vintager, not to mention the filter on TAL-bassline when the 'analogue warm' option is on!)

i fully support the suggestions above. mine are:

1. trigger buttton to switch on/off the osc retriggering (as it was possible in Elek7ro)
2. value display for points in the graphical envelope editor (on the Y axis)
3. routing LFO to oscillator phase
4. integrating flanger, phase and delay - let's make an ultimate monster synth :)

Love the Noisemaker so far, here's a few things I feel it lacks,
in no particular order:

- More waveforms to choose from, mainly OSC 1& 2
- A simple built in arp, a lá Bassline!
- Mix & Stereowidth for chorus, a lá Chorus-60!

I find I generally don't use the built in chorus, instead I use Chorus-60, so I would either remove the chorus altogether or add mix & width knobs. I suppose I'm a modular type of guy . Of course, a built in chorus is excellent for creating nice presets. Maybe You could add a button to bypass the FX-section, making it easier for users who prefer to add their own FX-chain? Just a thought...

Thx for excellent plugs!

My suggestions:

* separate up/down pitch bend ranges.
* also, the slider for pitch bend range should have precisely semitone steps BY DEFAULT - only when holding Ctrl should the control have .01 precision!
* allow multiple destination selection for LFOs and envelopes (each with its own amount!)
* formiddable 32-step sequencer and programmable arpeggiator
* definitely add more voices, up to 16!
* support for sustain pedal!!!
* when sustain pedal is held, allow note retrigger in mono mode. Let me elaborate. There are a lot of synths which don't allow fast note retriggering when sustain pedal is held (VAZ Modular, Pro-53, Zebra 2, Largo, for example). What does this mean? It means that you hold, for example, a C4, and then while holding C4, you hold the sustain pedal. Now you press other higher or lower notes while keeping C4 and sustain pedal pressed, to get the guitaristic hammer-on/pull-off effect. Korg M1 and Wavestation, and Elektrostudio synths (on top of my head) do this correctly! Please implement this as it is indispensable for playing fast lead lines!

(You could add these sustain pedal suggestions to Elek7ro as well!)

@snoddas - I was under impression that Noisemaker's chorus in fact IS the Chorus-60!

Correct! But lacking the Mix & Stereowidth function. To me these are what make the Chorus-60 so much more usable than the Noisemaker's chorus. Imagine being able to make presets in Noisemaker that fit perfectly into your mix...

@ Sendy:

Square sub is actually a pulse and was a cheap and cheerful way to octave-divide from a higher frequency vco

Remember the original subtractive waveforms were chosen not for their unique harmonic spectra but because they were relatively inexpensive and simple to produce

I've got an idea for Mr Noisemaker's revision that no-one's thought of.

I'm gonna make you work for this one - it starts with P and rhymes with Razor, and is inserted between the oscillators and filters for "something extra special"

I've allready mailed TAL about this:

Actually something's just caught my attention - a nifty little vst called Glass Viper.

Back in 1987(?) Brian Eno (wise beyond his years this guy) described the major problem with subtractive oscillators being they involve the movement of very small number of electrons and are consquently their own worse enemy musically.

My suggestion of a phaser was to give them some sense of movement.

But a couple of hours ago I was looking for something different though the kvr vst section and stumbled upon and downloaded the Glass Viper.

The oscs have their own internal movement and WOW!

Maybe find out if this is proprietry?

It's gone quiet...

- a second filter wich can switch between parallel or serial like an access virus
- lower lfo rates
- same switch menu for lfo waveforms like the waveforms in the oscs
- a switch to invert the ADSRs

I actually like to see the waveform as a graphic, but agree that the same method of selecting waveform should be applied to both OSC & LFO. Using a graphic helps visualize the effect of the waveform in a great way.

forgot this one:
-LFOs routable to the Envelopes (or a delay/attack knob in the LFo section)

A band-pass filter "spread" option like on the Oscar. And maybe that additive "harmonics" thing it does as well. A wave shaper after oscillators. A Unison mode to "stack" poly voices with an option to detune them against each other. A reverse saw for the LFOs. More mod routing destinations. And +1 on the chorus options.
