That might be the Gods of Music's way to tell you "listen to it with fresh ears tomorrow before you upload it" :hihi:

Post

Haha! Tunes already submitted! :D

Yeah Tattiemannie, Soundcloud often has it's dodgy moments.

It better be a good song, otherwise voters will judge the first three minutes by default  If I'm not in by the twenty second mark, its on to the next song
:hihi: :-o :hihi:

Yeah, got my tune up earlier ... I think the problem is I was ignoring ( or rather, not noticing ) the dropbox tag ... therefore the track was being loaded into my own soundcloud account.... at least, I think that was the issue. :)

I know, that's the risk of some musical genres in today's world, but one has to decide whether he wants to be true to himself or be commercial (which is also true for social relationships, lifestyles etc). So I'll just go for whatever comes out spontaneously and support it to the end (hopefully not a bitter one)

Imagine the fun of producing a track with one of the Britneys :)
 take 43...hhhhhey, wake up. honey, time to overdub again!

Totally agree Mac, but for ambitious competition entries there better be something to grab right away, it's just the way of things..

Tattie: A bit unusual style from you this time, the synth must have influenced.

But very nice and easy to work with the NR2010, controls are all there and inspiring, just like Noisemaker. There's something for odd synths, but also for the completely understandable which doesn't get in the way of the flow. Low CPU and stability is of course the basic and that's also there.

Honestly, I'd rather lose with something I believe in than win with something I made only to win... I'm simply not the "that's the way things are" kind of person in life, either (which explains why I'm always broke, of course :help: ). I may also add, with equal frankness, that since this is a forum for musicians and music lovers mostly from a certain level up, I expect at least the majority (or a decently large minority) to be able to rise a bit above the usual gimme-a-hook-within-30-seconds-or-I'll-skip-to-the-next-song kind of listener... but don't worry, the next-track button is always there, so feel free to use it, I will take no offense at all, I'll just set your car on fire  :D

...one thing... i've read that britney is actually a fast worker; a well rehearsed, 'bottled water is ok with me' type (as opposed to the 'thousand takes, all of the refreshments have to be just so' type). as to whether that makes britney a 'good singer,' i'll leave that up to others to decide. at the very least, i did enjoy 'toxic' and 'if you seek amy' though...

Mac, i very much like your material, too.

(;

Perhaps even more than that, i admire your approach to music-making...

Damn, now that I had finally decided to go with the tomato-can, prefabricated-pop, boy-band approach :( Now I'll have to go back and do things the old way
Thanks  I think we approach music in the same way, so I think we can understand each other well ;-)

Is anybody else experiencing massive CPU spikes and drop outs every ~15 seconds in FL Studio when using multiple instances of NR 2010?

Unfortunately, yes. I even tried to put my ASIO buffer to maximium but without any help. I was kind of hoping to focus on the music this time instead of trying to get around synth problems.

Post

That's a shame, I thought we had a stable synth for all here.

Seems anyway to work fine with a bunch of instances loaded in Reaper, so must be a FL issue, but how do they differ?

I sometimes see in the readme for plugins that FL users need to change some setting, but can't remember what that is atm, is that the ASIO buffer size?

Post

I've played with the Fruity Wrapper settings, but without success. It's not that much of a problem if it runs fine in Reaper, though.
