I've got that bloody song on continuous rotation in my head now, thanks to you; and then to make matters worse you make me remember Boney M!GaryG wrote:brian & michael

Did you know the original also featured St Winifred's School Choir? Neither did I. Nor did I want to. I dread to think what piece of useful information dropped out of the back of my brain just so I could store that little fact...

I actually met someone from St Winifred's School Choir when she was grown up. She said she didn't often admit that to people...Blank_Frank wrote:robojam wrote:Worse than that - I've got the Barron Knights parody of that in my head now!

Told you it was a stupid one.
Kind of curious as to how many KVRians are actually even aware of The Barron Knights...

I worked with them as a stage manager for a short (4 months) summer tour of the South West of England in '92 (or '93, can't remember for sure).GaryG wrote:Kind of curious as to how many KVRians are actually even aware of The Barron Knights...
Had a great time and got very drunk with them quite often, especially Duke (the lead singer) and Butch (the really funny one who's built like a brick shithouse) who would both sit up into the early hours of the morning telling jokes, playing guitar and generally talking about all sorts of crap. At the time their bass player was Garth Watt-Roy - Norman Watt-Roy's brother who was a damn fine musician but sometimes didn't appreciate us calling him "Norm's brother"
Duke passed away last year and although they're still touring, Pete is the only original member now.
Anyway, I'll post a question shortly.

I was putting something together around a 'dead guitarists' theme, but it didn't pan out...
