Speaking of audio demos, when tone2 do post some, I sure hope they're not full cheesy trance sounds. I think they overdid that a bit with gladiator at first. And so I think gladiator is underrated as an Alchemy-esque pad and texture synth, good for shimmery glassy additive type soundscapes especially.
I'm especially curious about whether Electrax is good for harder or more punchy sounds. Someone mentioned the dubstep wobble being something it does well. Looking forward to hearing that. Gladiator's no good for hard or thick sounds. Too thin. But I've Firebird is, so hopefully Electrax has got some serious balls...

Yeah, I agree. And, while I'd love to hear some audio demos, hearing presets only tells me so much. So, I'd like even more to see some videos showing off the workflow, demonstrating the various synthesis types (building up a few sounds from scratch would be nice), a run-through of the various filters, etc. A synth like this would really benefit from a few vids, IMO of course.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Speaking of audio demos, when tone2 do post some, I sure hope they're not full cheesy trance sounds. Internet has really spoilt us
I too would love, audio demos, video presentations and a down loadable demo..... I suspect these will come in time....for now all I need is the audio demo. since for me if it doesn't sound good the rest doesn't really matter for me.

Silly huh...
It was re the layers in ElectraX and your workflow in Live. Please read carefully. Your reply was silly and sarcastic, something I wasn't expecting from you:
Uhhh... you wrote:
That is you calling the suggestion of Kore silly... So clearly I am not misrepresenting our conversation. You might consider that I am still level headed and that maybe you are the one in this case overly attached to defending a synth you obviously like a lot.himalaya wrote: And yes, suggesting that somneone buys another product, spend money and time having to learn in order to do some easy layering is silly.
Either way, let's move on... The 4 layers does not interest me, but like you said, if 1 layer adds something new and unique, then the synth would interest me.

would be nice to hear whether beta testers are released to talk about the synth and post sound demos... most of the requests for specific info have gone unanswered as well as the requests for audio...rob_lee wrote:Asked the same yesterday..audio demos is a must so is someone gonna knock one up or what?adamtrance wrote:So where are the sound demos?![]()

I think Himalaya's point wasn't that Kore was stupid but the idea of asking someone to buy another product to accomplish layering was....
anyway bottom line is if it does something for you buy it, if it doesn't don;t

pdxingy, you are still misrepresenting! Where, in the quote below, do we talk about Kore ??? Can you not read ?
We can talk about features and ways of using them, but one thing I will not stand for is misrepresentation and MISQUOTING, or associating one post to a completely different, unrelated one. !!!!
Please tell me, show me, where in the quote above, which contains your silly and sarcastic post, do we talk about Kore, which you maintain the whole exchange is about ?pdxindy wrote:Wow!! That is an amazing synth... It just magically makes presets and nobody has to spend any time at all making them... Seems like that is gonna put you sound designers out of business!himalaya wrote:An instrument rack has to be first created! So you are conveniently forgetting that to do what ElectraX does, you DO have to spend much more time and effort.pdxindy wrote:Yes, if we are going to ignore that work of creating the preset, then yeshimalaya wrote:The workflow in ElectraX goes like this:pdxindy wrote:
I just made an instrument rack in Live with 3 instances of Zebra. The workflow goes like this:
Drag an instance of Zebra from the browser to a track.
Select the preset I want.
Hit Command-G which groups the selection (1 synth in this case) into an instrument rack.
Option drag the 1st layer to make a second layer with the same synth/preset
Option drag to make a 3rd layer.
set the octave down one on layer 2
Set the master detune down a couple cents on the 3rd layer.
Drag the rack to the browser... everything I just did is saved as a rack preset.
Fast, efficient, took me less than a minute and can be recalled via drag-n-drop
.
- Load an instance of ElectraX
That's it!
Are you sure your workflow is that fast and efficient ?
the workflow for me goes like this... load an instrument rack... done... just as fast... except mine can have any combination of any synth and effects including ElectraX
Perhaps you are fast in your DAW and can accomplish that with no sweat, but other users may not. See beyond yourself. There's more outside of you than you can imagine.![]()

I will definitely get it if just the barest thought and a new preset just appears ready on the track and it is exactly what I hadn't even yet thought I wanted!

You are right. But the Kore conversation took much earlier. What pdxingy is doing is cutting my reply to the 'workflow' exchange, into the Kore exchange ! That is not on! Is he doing it on purpose or by sheer ignorance ?zvenx wrote:I think Himalaya's point wasn't that Kore was selling but the idea of asking someone to buy another product to accomplish layering was....

of course... which is ironic since he is promoting people to buy another product to accomplish layering... The idea of getting Kore to be able to layer any of your synths, rather than just 1 is not stupid. That is one of the main points of Kore. That was a response to someone who said that functionality is not in their host.zvenx wrote:I think Himalaya's point wasn't that Kore was stupid but the idea of asking someone to buy another product to accomplish layering was....
