To make things clear: I do not want to dictate anything to anyone. I just want to see your opinions and I think I'm even happy to change my mind on some things. If a common denominator can be found - great.
Also, I think it's totally cool to feature artists, do interviews and all. What I dispise is that simple and dumb "Product XY is the very best emulation of VintageZ I have ever heard" that you find all over the place.
I disagree though if any top ten producer is "entitled" to an NFR though. On the other hand I sometimes happily swap NFRs for CDs and concert tickets. Or dinner.
Regarding license transfers... I found they are not as many as to get concerned. Sometimes I have one every day, but the overall percentage is very low. With some products I sometimes remove suspicious ones from whitelists within the plugin (a technique that I happily discuss in the private forum), so they can't upgrade to the next version - this is essentially a way to stop a serial from working, if you have the patience.
The idea of an exit strategy is cool, but it isn't an easy one (if I die, my stuff has to still feed my wife...)
Good night,
