SonicProjects OP-X PRO-II: Matrix 6 bank available!

We are big fans of Katsunori Ujiie's videos and fell in love with the sounds in his new Matrix 6 demo video:

We've copied those sounds for OP-X PRO-II:

Chords and lines were played similar as in the original video to allow for direct comparison. The sounds were copied just by listening, so don't expect them to be 100% identical.

You can download the bank here:
www.sonicprojects.ch/opxpro2/userarea.html

Videos for further clone banks:

Jupiter 8:

Prophet 5:

Minimoog:

Oberheim OB-X:

Further synths like Polymoog:
Listen to audioclips

Have much fun playing :-)

Hi Peter,
Thanks for making these available. I have the VFX version for
Mac and I don't see how to import this bank as the folder does
not seem to be accessible to me. Please advise.
Cheers,
Scott

Hi Scott
You can find the library folder in this place:
Macintosh HD->Users->Your Username->Music->V-MACHINE Library

Right-click (or alt+click) on this and choose "show package contents"; then you'll see a "banks" and a "plugs" folder; open the "plugs" folder; here you'll find the "OP-X PRO-II" root folder, which itself contains another "OP-X PRO-II" folder, which contains the library; simply put the bank in here. You also can create subfolders in here to keep your own custom presets separated

It's recommended to switch off keyboard animation for optimum playing response. For this deactivate the blue square LED next to "A" on the right side of the levers

You can find this info too in the "Installation Guide", page 2

Thanks, more food for my PRO II! :D

You'll see there are also two other reloads in the user area. The "Reload001" has a really realistic Wurlitzer piano in there, which sounds like this:

Listen: Supertramp Wurlitzer

Too available here:

Hi Peter,

A bit off topic, but I'm looking for an album that was featured on your website front page about this time last year, really nicely done using OP-X Pro.

Sorry, not much more info to go on but have been thinking of it lately and would like more info if possible.

Regards, James

Peter, just sent you an updated preset of one from the Famous sounds bank to your email...

I was well chuffed with it!

Edit: wouldn't accept email, said 'Illegal Attachment', it was an FXP

ah yes - always pack files in a zip, then it will work; pure binaries are not allowed

Ah yes - this was the previous album; we're featuring the new album presently, too using OP-X PRO - here's a preview:

Doh :dog:

Resent it!

The preset is ideal for stabby chords/pitch bends! I started with a preset though :hihi: !

It's fabulous!

Thanks, glad you liked it, I've made OP-X sounds in the past too but never saved them as the old versions didn't have the preset management system that it has now, If I make more I'll send them all in one lot! :)

If anyone is into old school Electro Funk, Boogie, Street Soul etc this synth is awesome for them sounds, One of the best softsynths IMO! 8)

Cheers!

cool - and thanks :-)

btw, in the meantime found a better setting for the first brass, mean closer to the original video (less bright) - maybe there will be an update on it - however I also like the first brass as it is - maybe more OB-Xa-ish with its brightness than Matrix 6-ish
