It sounds great :D
I own Pro-C and the Glue and in my opinion they complement each other very well.
Though I can't say anything about the Waves stuff.

@andy: any news on your next project? :)

Cheers,
Doc

it comes off pretty well in a review when compared against the waves ssl in the latest, 25th birthday edition of SoundOnSound! (just got it today!)

Hi Andy! I just bought this beauty! Thanks for making clearly the best compressor on the market ;) This give my drums extra punch, what other cannot do! Love it  Little FR, mousewheel support for knobs. Is it possible? Thanks!

Hey Doc. Progress is going well for the next project, but there is nothing official I can report just yet :) Not that it really fills you in much but I can report that I have completed one of the trickier bits of circuit mathematics needed for it, and it has worked out to be reasonably efficient cpu wise as well so I'm very happy with how things are going.

Hey Keel! Thanks for picking up a copy of The Glue :) I do support mouse wheel control of the knobs, as well as double clicking on the outer notches to snap to that value, and double clicking in the middle of the knob to enter text values. Can you please email me some details of your setup so I can sort out what the problem may be? www.cytomic.com/contact Thanks!

I have no access to this here in Germany. :(

as an aside, this thread goes against social network thread length theory :hihi:

http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn1 ... works.html
They have found that long conversation threads are overwhelmingly more emotionally negative than short ones, with happiness scores decreasing logarithmically with the number of messages. What's more, long conversations almost always start with negative comments.
whilst I havent read the whole thread the portions I have are overwhelmingly positive.... 8)

But it does help to explain alot of KVR behaviour, at least those of you that are "normal" :P

a final quote which is relevant to this community
Thankfully, the researchers have some advice for those that would rather steer clear of bad feeling online. "We've seen that the least vigorous discussions tend to be about ageing rock stars," says Thelwall.

But that thread is parody about a fictional product that is different in everyones mind and which would fall under "multiparallel delusion thread theory"

actually that could also be applied to every thread at KVR

Any chance of a holiday sale? Hm? :help:

I can confirm that mouse wheel support is broken on Windows. I apologize for this and will make sure it is working again in the next update. Mouse wheel support is working fine on Mac.

Sound On Sound have an electronic version of their magazine and you can also buy individual articles as a .pdf files. Below is a quote from the article and the link to the full article. Please support magazines like SOS by paying for articles you are interested in reading. It is a small cost to get such an expert and in depth view of the use of plugins and their sound, and it will ensure such articles will continue to be written in the future :tu:

"How does their plug-in compare with established offerings from Waves and UA? ... The Glue sounds more open and has a more defined stereo width — and it certainly provides 'the glue' on a variety of instruments. It's kind of a 'more of everything' compressor, and at a great price too!"
