Who am I / what have I done so far

I am a 30 years old music hobbyist from the Netherlands. I tried to make a living of my music but I didn`t succeed. the music I love goes from classic to metal but I'm addicted to funk and soul (old ...def. no r&b)I studied for becoming a system controller and after that did a totally different study ...psychology. I was mc in a house act for 2 years and was a rapper in a rap band for 4 years

What do I do :

I work as a board computer read out software instructor for Fleetlogic ( www.fleetlogic.nl )
I sang in a couple of bands and quit because I only feel at home in a funk soul band and don't have to much time. I have a 7 years old daughter , left her mother 4 years ago and I have a nice go at the moment which is a decoration designer.

What is my goal in life :

My goal in life is to love and be loved, to live and let live, to serve and be served

I'm interested in :

MUSIC / nature / psychology / dreams / metaphysics / artificial intelligence / world cultures / math / science / religion / philosophy / Drawing and painting / witchcraft / software / biological computers / neurology and so on and so on

32 year-old creative type i guess . . . into making music for the last 2 years or so [but have been frustrated musician for 20 or thereabouts] . . . listen to allsorts from folk to thrash but make pretty unclassifiable [hey . . . can me and tris have our own genre please ? . . . suggestions for its name welcome <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> ] abstract beat-driven noise . . .

. . . left school in 88 and did various nothing jobs [factory.barwork.banker] before getting the fear of turning into another office zombie and left to do a fine art degree . . . got a 1st [me boff <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> ] and trained to be a teacher . . . which leads me to . . .

what do i do ?
i teach art [and am also now head of department] at a secondary [11-18] in the east of england . . . live with the pHemale pHuzZ [real name zoe] . . . another teacher <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="rolleyes.gif" /> . . . history and RE this time . . . no kids [yet] . . . a tank full of tropical fish to keep us company

what is my goal in life ?
to be happy . . . to create stuff [sound and vision] . . . to grow old disgracefully . . . to not affect other peoples lives negatively . . . to earn good karma . . . to drink beer [may not be compatible with some other goals <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> ]

Hi, My name is Jaime Newman. (Although, I've gone by James also.) I am 44 years old, happily married to my wife of soon to be 14 years. We have 2 children, our daughter who is soon to be 10 and our son who is 8. I've worked as an office manager for an optometrist for the last 18 years, and really enjoy working with the public. Musically, I tend to enjoy being creative....the typical drawing, painting, sculpting, landscaping, and of course music. I'm not a real good muscian, however, I do love to program sounds, and have done so profesionally in the 90's. My real passion though is my faith and commitment to the LORD, Jesus Christ. My entire being and reason for being has dramatically changed over the years as I read (and reread) and study God's word. It IS the sole "owner's manual" of life! My desire then in this life is to be pleasing to HIM and to be a great leader and husband to my wife and father/teacher/leader to my children, so that when my part in the great play of life is done, that the great "I AM" of the Bible will say to me "well done good and faithful servant."

35-year old systems administrator. Started off as a programmer, drifted into Unix sysadmin, had a stomach ulcer at 23, and quit. Did various things and stuff and nothing for a few years. Drifted back into Unix sysadmin, at a Scottish art school, in a 3D department.

b : what do i do at the moment ...

Now doing W2K sysadmin and support, my way, at a new 3D department in a different Scottish art school. I also do some web design stuff, some programming, some Photoshop, basically anything thats required, and I'm getting up to speed in the 3D software (Maya) so I can support it directly. I do some teaching, and I also enjoy that side of it.
I've never been a focussed expert in any single thing, but I am a damn good generalist, and I know enough of everything I need to be able to learn any skill I've decided I want or need, faster than most people.

Learning cool and interesting stuff and having fun doing it. Living off good food and good beer. Redheads.
