Hi,
I've been watching some DMP lessons, and thought id just check here aswell. WHen you program your kick drum timbre its important to make sure that this is in the same key as your song (your chords) are going to be.
Is it as vital to make sure that your claps/snares/hi hats etc other drum parts are also in the same key as your song??
The reason i ask is because i do program my own kicks now, but i mostly sample other drum parts (Hi Hat/Snares etc).

If you want them to be in the same key, then by all means do it. But you won't ever see a real drummer swapping his kit in the middle of a concert because the next song is in a different key. Think about that...teva995 wrote:Is it as vital to make sure that your claps/snares/hi hats etc other drum parts are also in the same key as your song??
