Great journey Alexandre, thank you!

Here's a blissful little ambient vocal arpeggio loop (being transposed to a few pitches) sent into two shimmers in series. Primarily heard is the +12 shift, but very slight amounts of +7 is mixed in. The crescendos are created by increasing and decreasing the feedback amounts of each shimmer. This is accomplished by sanford midi lfo attached to those parameters. Everything is then sent to a subtle amount of randomized filter and then to two standard reverbs in parallel.

BTW, it would be nice if ableton (my host used above) would recognize shimmer as able to receive midi input. To do the above I had to do the midi loopback thing - sending midi "lfo" out to midiyoke/IAC and back in as a midi control bound to "remote" control the feedback parameters.

Wow, I am loving the Vahalla Shimmer! :) Please say there will be a 64 bit in the future? This is truly an inspiration...

Thank you for nailing it!

Thanx for all info Sean.

@valhallasound: any news or updates for the saving parameters issue I have in Ableton Live? Am I the only one having this? (maybe I'm doing somthing wrong, correct me if that so) I still have to write down the values of my parameters and set them manually, Live doesn't open them the way they were in my last save.

Cheers! :)

I am actively working on this issue today. I thought I had a solution over the weekend, but it was buggy. The presets and the state saving of the plugin are interacting poorly, so I need to figure out what is going on.

As far as 64 bit builds, I already have the 64 bit Audio Unit and x64 Win VST building here. I am holding off on the release, in order to integrate the preset/state fixes.

Once these are done, I will send download links to existing customers. If they give the OK on the new versions, I will put the demo versions up on the website.

That is some seriously deep space. To my (uninformed) ears, it reminds me a lot of "Affenstunde" by Popol Vuh, or some of the Klaus Schulze stuff. The percussion hits through Shimmer are awesome.

That is a beautiful sound. A nice combination of light and dark.

Seriously, I am really loving the sounds that people are posting on this thread.

See, this is why I am happy I spent so much effort on optimization. Getting 9 instances, plus all the other stuff going on there - your computer is doing a LOT of work!

Eos is a good "jack of all trades" reverb, with the ability to get tight plate sounds, and shorter hall sounds than Shimmer. ValhallaShimmer was designed with the idea that it didn't have to cover all reverb sounds, so I could focus on the big, long washy tails, nonlinear decays, and the pitch shifting stuff.
