oic, it's a feature. anyway, i think you should lead with something like demo #2 that shows what it's good at. if i thought demo #1 was what it did, i wouldn't be interested. you're showcasing a gimmick that would rarely be needed. harmonization of vocals is needed all the time, and your plug does a great jobsonicfire wrote:Mhh nah, it isn't a speech synth demoandroidlove wrote:oops, overlooked it. the 1st demo probably shouldn't be a speech synth song as people may think this is what the program does and dismiss it.sonicfire wrote:Thanks!!androidlove wrote:you have been demonstrating an excellent business style. it is to be emulated
btw, where is trivox? i love it. i think others will as well
Trivox is there - it's called Enchoir
(Enchoir will also get an update this year hopefully)
It's me singing into the microphone, actually

Great!
Currently doing an update... more or less the last for now.
Adding a second mini-browser for Soundfont Bank/Patch selection, each layer gets an built-in reverb with size, damp, predelay and mix... also a little modulation envelope for each layer will come.
The new main thing will be a "performance mode", where 8 note/trigger keys on your keyboard correspond to layers 1-8 and can be switched
And some small bugfixes as well!

Are there any changes in the present Factory Library Content? I've previously downloaded the library and would like to know if there are any content or installer updates. Thanks...

Sounds great - you're a busy man!
To me it sounds nice and has a lot of variable features for sound shaping. I really like the preset selection where you can just arrow down to each selection and not have to press enter to listen.
To me, the improvements needed (some of which may have already been mentioned somewhere in this long thread)is the general browser functionality; it doesn't recognize some file folders while browsing which windows does recognize - in other words; what I see in your browser doesn't look exactly like what's in my computer.
The SF browsing and selection doesn't work quite as smoothly as the preset selection - especially with SF's that have a few different variations or presets within them, or has been noted b4 - if a preset doesn't start with O then you have to go to another part of the screen and click it to see those other nested sounds etc.
Bascially, if the SF browsing and selection was the same as the presets then things would be greatly improved in that department. Thanks again for your hard work!

This could happen if the folders attribute are set to hidden, so check that.b4serenity wrote:it doesn't recognize some file folders while browsing which windows does recognize - in other words; what I see in your browser doesn't look exactly like what's in my computer.

Hi Sonicfire, sonicfire wrote:Thanks for testing and helping!!b4serenity wrote:I read your post and deleted what was in the config file so that "C:\PhenomeData" would not be added to what was in the PHE preset file, and it almost got it there except it still put a \ before the correct path name. I even tried moving the config file out of the Phenome file and it produced the same results. I put everything back to where it was originally and still get the same error.
Now I read your last post and in the PHE files it shows c:\PhenomeData\Factory|Soundfonts\FDanceKitA.sf2 on the first line. So, that seems to be the problem!! I'm not sure why it's working on other computers??
So, can you fix the PHE files to read the correct way?
We're getting closer!
Oh, could that be a language/locale problem perhaps?![]()
It should be: (underscore) _Soundfonts!
But nevertheless, there shouldn't be an absolut paht information inside the PHE files. So no C:\whatever.... just "Factory\_Soundfonts".
And also important: When typing in the path to PhenomeData in the config.txt, dont add a backslash! ( \ )
Right: C:\myfolder\Phenomedata;
Wrong: C:\myfolder\Phenomedata\;
Thanks so much for this player!! (I've never played with SF2 files until I saw your thread here......)BUT, I can't get it to play any sounds.
I have 2 internal drives... C:Program\Cakewalk\VST\Phenome (.dll) and also the folder which has the config.txt file.
The other drive is... D:Samples\Phenomedata
I changed config.txt file to read: D:samples\Phenomedata; (as you've adviced)but, I get that error box when I click on a preset (from the sounds you provided).
Could you please let me know how to resolve this? (Sorry, if this has been answered already, but I didn't quite understand what the solution is and how to apply it.....newbie
Thanks again!!

Currently not, but today/tomorrow and update will come (fixing a "bug" in one vocal soundfont).DJ_Bach wrote:Sonicfire

Yes, the browser update will take a bit longer... but it's on my list! I've currently updated Phenome to v1.70.
The browser now has an additional little windows for soundfont bank and patch selection. So this should make things easier!

Make sure you add a "" to the drive letter, e.g.:
"D:\samples\Phenomedata;" !
Let me know if that works!

You're welcome!!
Oh, to anyone else who already downloaded v1.70 - please download again! There was a denormalization issue with the reverb ... hopefully fixed
EDIT: Not fixed. Will have a look, sometimes it happens....sometimes not.
