Actually not so far from the original Tele no-nonsense idea imho.
Still, it might not be stanlea's idea of a Tele, that's why I asked.

Mine is more like this

Certainly not everybody's cup of tea either, but I have my reasons for every little detail. It works, and it plays and sounds amazing ...

Hink wrote:if you recall I bought a kahler 'behind the nut' locking nut but was going to use a an gold original floyd rose. The pick-ups I have doing nothing are an old pair of duncan customs (one neck and one bridge). If I go without a finish and stain it myself I can get a maple tele body with both body contours like a strat, rout for the rose, two humbucker rout and rear rout electronic cavity for $255.00 usd. Give it a nice hand stained finish and wax the hell out it (no polyurethane) and it should look nice and be fairly maintenance free :tu:
:dog: of course, my memory is rubbish. Sounds like a very decent price for the body. It is/will be the hinkenstein MK II. Looking forward to some pics and clips when it is done mate :D

I just have to save for like 4 months
I will get used to the way the fret separation doesn't taper.
Can't wait to play it!
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

I definitely would love to get a star labs! :)

I can play a little guitar, and I always reach for synth tones when composing so yeah, could be my favourite item.
Pity you don't live closer (i assume), hibidy, have you played one? I haven't.
I'll let you know if it's what I am looking for in synth guitar.

I have not played one, but I've kinda been thinking about something like that.

I'm probably getting a Taylor 110E or 210 if nobody stops me NOW...

Edit: I guess I'm in the "vintage" state of mind, but the only guitars I find worth looking at are Strats, Teles, LPs, 335s and Casinos (aka 330s). Same for basses: Precision, Jazz, Hofner.

I love the Z6 sp+ sometimes I fear it a bit to long. It's about as long as a bass.
I mostly fantacize about the mini-12. To split it in four zones of three octaves each. Or simply to be able to get 4 octaves out of a single position.

well I finally got around to putting the mick thompson in my Jackson..(well wire it, it was in there for a week so I could admire it)...first impressions were this was the wimpiest pick-up ever. I had to go get my daughter at school and I was riding along thinking something is not right and I thought "it's like it's not getting any power at all". So I came home and disconnected the battery and sure enough no change, however the battery was 100%.

The quick connect on the pick-up power lead was pushing out it's housing instead of pushing on the contacts on the back of the pick up. The pick up sounds awesome now, but I do have my concerns as to why that was so cheaply made.

That is not like SD from my experience either, everything apart from one old, old Livewire has been totally trouble free Hink. Thanks for the info as you know i am going for a guitar packing two of the Mick's!

A friend of mine plays the exact same bass (in brown sunburst) - if you like the style and sound (I do) imho it doesn't get much better. :tu:
Sound opinion based on a MESA Venture combo and a Carvin solid state rig - a cross between Stingray and Fender, very different from your Rick.

I done did it--I bought the thing--it does sound reaaaally nice too

Mind, I also picked up a Gallien-Kreuger MB115 1X15 combo amp for it--seems a right nice fit
