I tried the SM57 on the acoustic briefly, but I didn't like it, and since I had a slightly better idea how to get a sound I liked with the B1 I went back to that one. However, I think most of the hiss is from that guitar track . . .

I need to play around with the mics--and with noise reduction--when I'm not set on recording something to keep, just to try things out.

Thanks again.

Really good songwriting I admire. I like your voice, but hear some 'plosives in there. A De-esser would help that. Waves makes a good one, but it's ridiculous expensive.

Hey DH,

Excellent lyrics. The tune and vocals remind me of stuff I love by Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earle, so I have no complaints there.

Really sweet sound on the guitar too. Good recording all around. My kind of song. :)

Best,

Very sweet tune. Guitar sounds great, and I sure can't chide anyone for an out of tune vocal.
I thought you were British, too.

I like it.
Reminds me of Nebraska.
