Works fine here (on instrument tracks)hudson_m4000 wrote:I can't get the + to work.....o Added shortctus for vertical zoom (ctrl +/-)
Have you assigned any shortcut to it?
Did you try both '+''s (the 'normal' and the one on the num-pad?)

On a laptop with no num-pad. Normal + doesn't work.ZonderP wrote:Works fine here (on instrument tracks)hudson_m4000 wrote:I can't get the + to work.....o Added shortctus for vertical zoom (ctrl +/-)

I do have a Fn key numpad but that doesn't work for either +/-

Im not sure if I understand this one. Could you please explain?kejkz wrote:Edit... also, new feature for selecting channel that is displayed for multi-out plugins isn't track persistent, so user have to change it back and forth when changing midi tracks to see corresponding output. I think it should stay bound to a track once set and only display that track's output channel.

Of course, here is the problem: when I have, for example, two midi tracks, that are controlling same instance of a plugin, that has two different outputs, I am expecting that I can set on every track corresponding output that will stay on that channel. Right now, output is set globally for all MIDI/Instrument tracks that are controlling that same instance of instrument.jorgen wrote:Im not sure if I understand this one. Here are some images of this problem:
I have set track output on instrument channel one to Out1
then when I switch to other track, same output channel is still selected. Then I change it to some other, for example, Out 4. That is the channel on mixer that I want to see for that track!
But when I go back to first, I expect that channel I have set first time, Out1, will be the one what channel will display to me. But it isn't, displayed is Out4!
I think it's better that every track have outputs that are bound to track when user sets them.

i agree with this statement above. its usage is kind of limited with this implementation.
assumingly, the problem is technical: the mixer strip doesn't point to the instance of the midi track but to its instrument it has as an output (makes sense in this regard, kind of).
as it is the way right now, it can be used for instruments that have multiple audio out but only one midi in (for example some drum machines). the use for "real" multi-timbral instruments (several midi inputs, several audio outputs) this function doesn't work as "expected".

Fully agree. Fix coming up.Of course, here is the problem: when I have, for example, two midi tracks, that are controlling same instance of a plugin, that has two different outputs, I am expecting that I can set on every track corresponding output that will stay on that channel.

Ooh, excellent. XT2 is finally coming to a state where I am considering dropping 1.4 altogether! Very excited for the future

There's also the opposite scenario: when you use the same midi track to control multiple plugins. It would be nice if we could choose which plugin's channel strip is visible in the sequencer mixer strip.jorgen wrote:Fully agree. hi,
i opened a blank 'guitar project' plugged in my mic and i only get a signal when i turn the guitar amp power button off.
(my friend's looking for a simple host for recording his guitar + vocals,so i thought i'd try and see how easy it would be for him.appart from the usual win7 audio stealing problems, this was the first hurdle)
edit:
it works using a vst insert, but switching on xt's guitar amp power kills audio out.
i need to reload project to get audio out again.
edit2:
just noticed this was a bug back in 2008!
