Congrats for your nice site and thanks for the free midi monitor that allow to test device.

I'm on PC win7-64 with reaper 64 bits, are there any setup instruction somewhere ?

Am i wrong thinking i need some kind of virtual midi cable on my PC to feed my host ?
Midi yoke ports does not show up in 64 bits hosts if i remember correctly...

Sevendragon are you 32 or 64 bits ?

Thanks,

Xavier

i just bought this yesterday and it's pretty sweet.

some things i want (but i'm prettyyyy damn happy with what i've got):

sysex so i can control my dsi evolver
labels to label sections
horizontal faders and also backwards faders (127 to 0)
octave switch that will make all the note pads go up or down in octave
hold function for notes (instead of just momentary)
velocity note pad: triggers note anywhere you press it but the higher up the louder it is
individual unit colors
jpeg background

there might already be ways to do things like this. or workarounds.. but i've just started messing around with this about an hour ago.. and it's a great app. there's no noticeable latency with the camera connection kit. i've got it working with my korg ms2000 and reaper.

and i love that there are features that make this thing user friendly like being able to adjust brightness right from the app- that makes me think this thing will be updated with some more nice features.

Thanks Xavier.

To setup on Windows 7, download DSMidiWiFi here: http://dsmi.googlecode.com/files/dsmidiwifi-v1.01.zip <- direct link to zip.

Once you have that running, make sure your iPad is connected to the same WiFi network as your PC, and make sure the WiFi output switch is on:

Then open up your midi software on your computer and DSMidiWiFi should show up as a input/output.

Thanks for buying it :)

There is an update that has been sent to Apple that is mainly bug fixes but also adds inverted (ie backwards) faders so thats on the way.

The other features you asked for will make their way into it, some more quickly than others! The first things done will be horizontal faders, picture background and individual unit colours. Sysex is something a lot of people have been asking for, so we are looking at it, can't say how/when at the moment though.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!

Korg MS2000? That's awesome, hadn't heard of it before and just looked it up, how old is that thing? It doesn't have USB so I'm guessing you have it running through something else?

Nice :)

i think it came out in 2000, it's the same engine as the microkorg i believe- but it sounds better and is wayyyy easier to program.

i have the e-mu midi 1x1 hooked up to it (works great)

oh i just thought of something else that would be convenient- midi learn. right now i have to go into midi monitor to see what cc number a knob sends (or i can dig through the ms2000 menus)

i plan on making a video and then sharing my ms2000 midi touch save file as soon as i make time

i don't have this app , or an ipad, but when i do...
add a rotate option! ergonomics
