Hi everyone,

after a quite long time my first commercial soundbank for the Waldorf Blofeld called "Analog vs Digital" is about to be released very soon.

Here is the official description:

"Ingo Weidner's "Analog vs Digital" Soundset for Waldorf Blofeld

This soundset from Ph.D Ingo Weidner contains various classic analog and digital sounds, for instance, PPG Wave 2.3 (bzw. PPG 2.V...), Yamaha DX7, Moog Minimoog, SCI Prophet 5, Roland jupiter 8, ARP 2600, Elka Synthex oder Hammond Novachord. Of course there are also completely new digital and analog sounds, which have no similarity to any existing instrument.

The ZIP file includes one SoundDriver-Library with 128 sounds and 8 midi files. Each midi file contains the same sounds, but offers the possibility to use any of the eight soundbank locations in Blofelds."

The soundset will be available at the Waldorf Online Shop as soon as i finished the last audio demos which will be tomorrow or on Sunday. Everything else is already prepared so the release could be next week. The price for the soundbank will be 30 Euros, no sample memory is needed for the bank.

As a preview here are Audio demos of all 128 patches of the bank, each file contains 16 of them:

EDIT:
see here: http://www.waldorfmusic-shop.de/epages/ ... D=19106839

Those demos contain the "raw" sound of the Blofeld without any external FX and no processing except volume normalization. Only a single instance of each patch was used. For recording the demos the Blofeld was directly connected to the Audio interface.

After the official release i'll add some additional informations. If possible i'll post the link for the demos in the Waldorf Online Shop to save some Trafficshare amount in my Rapidshare account.

I find the demos to be very boring.
And I think better demos would (obviously) lead to better sales.

The sense of those demos is not to provide a masterpiece but to offer a small demo (around 30-70 seconds) for each sound in the bank. A the end there will be 8 MP3s with demos for 16 sounds in each. 128 small songs, so what do you expect?? Off course i'll try to do other demos later but not before the release.

Each of the 128 short demos contains only a single instance of a single sound and additional Modwheel and/or aftertouch modulation is used, all like provided with the real soundbank. No external FXs were used and the only real processing was volume normalization.

I'll post the rest of the demos tomorrow.

PS:
I recorded the songs directly into Wavelab Elements 7 to prevent myself from using exactly the same notes/song for different sounds and to get the sound as "raw" as possible. Some were recorded 10 times or more until i was satisfied.

Lol, this one still has me cracking up...

BTW, for those to lazy to check the definition here it it from urban dictionary (thank Ingonator)

Fast. NO idea where it comes from; I can't see shit moving too quickly off a stick, but there you go.

I updated the Audio demos in the OP. Now 8 files with 16 Demos in each file are available for all 128 sounds of the bank.

Maybe already tomorrow the soundset will be available for 30 Euros in the Waldorf Online Shop.
