I have the final version of ElectraX and am totally thrilled. . The oscillators sound powerful and without aliasing. It's great fun with it to work. I have sampled some of Waves from the Korg Wavestation and imported into ElectraX. By the sound Engine, the Waves sound almost better than the Wave Station. Then there are the fantastic effects that give even more power. Later I will make the waves here in the forum are available. Korg in Marburg has given me the permission for it.

From the technical side it would be possible to have also audio input. The engine could handle this. However most hosts can't do this properly or it is very complicated to setup. I personally prefer the one-click solution with ElectraX.

If you are interested in a easy-to-use vocoder to use as an insert effect you could give Tone2 Waveverb Multi-FX a try. It also can handle Midi input. You can find it here:

A demo with vocoder sounds can be found here (it's the same vocoder as in ElectraX):

Hi, thanks for the reply. I know of warmverb but avoided it as I use only native x64 plugs. I'm guessing an update is in the works for it too?

Anyways, looking forward to trying ElectraX, keep up the good work.

Cheers

Not confimed. PietW received a free alpha version, but insisted on paying the regular price for ElectraX, because he has seen how much work we spent to it during the last two years.

Dear Piet,

Thank you for funding the development of our products! Thank you for providing many nice wavetables for Gladiator2 and ElectraX to us!

Peace,
Markus

Markus, since you clearly know the price, when will you let us know? A lot of us have decisions to make this year, and relatively quickly.

That is good to know, it is about time that all dev start to release their plugs as x64.

I suppose I'll know in a few days when I try the demo, but I'm really curious what you can do to a sample when you import it. I assume it's fairly basic - sample start? speed? any cool tricks like position or scrubbing through the sample?

I think someone mentioned the PW knob being used as sample position, can it be modulated for cool scrubbing type effects?

cheers, looking forward to trying it.

There is no info on the Tone2 site about this: Does this new synth playback samples in Granular/timestretch mode as well or is it just a normal old school sampler on board? Does it support multisample editing and layering within the synth itself or does one have to create/use sfz-files? How extended/basic are the looping features?

Great news indeed. For anyone who is curious though, I've been running Warmverb, Filterbank 3 and BiFilter2 in N5 64 bit without any issues using the stock Steiny bit bridge.

Really looking forward to ElextraX!
