Hei Piz!
Is it possible to trigger record and playback with your Midipads?
Or even better: that each "pad" gets one midibuffer from current midilooper - midipads pro!
Click on a pad could start recording if an midi pedal switch is on, else starts playback or sends some other midi mesages as in current version.
Piano roll editor could be chosen on right mouse button, we don' need it to stay visible all the time. Or midipads pro without piano-roll at all, just "del" option if we are not happy with recorded loop.
Just my fantasy, thanks.

interesting idea... you should be able to set something like that up in any reasonably capable host. you could even control multiple midiLoopers with one midiPads, to get more than 16 slots. having midiPads itself send whole sequences instead of single notes/ccs is something i'll have to think about.

-And one pad can be used to collect several other pads as a common group trigger button.maki wrote:Hei Piz!

-And root note could be chosen not by mouse but while performance, by playing a "left hand" note with velocity over 120

if you resize it so that the piano roll isn't showing, it's basically turned off. of course some other stuff is also hidden that way, but i can rearrange the GUI.

new version today, mainly bug fixes with piano roll editing and GUI performance, but also made "Split" a per-slot option (i think i'm going to add an easier way to apply per-slot options to all slots).
anyway, here it is

This is why I suggested midilopper from Midipads: a bigger pad allows user to see and change upto nine properties of the recorded loop by letters and numbers on borders, in the center of the pad and in each corner. Properties are changed by applying a property from another pad. Words can not explain what I mean but if a pad in Midipads contains one midilooper-cell and has an additional option to send different properties to another pad with midilooper within, than some pads can be user as "controlpanel" for other pads.insertpizhere wrote:new version today, mainly bug fixes with piano roll editing and GUI performance, but also made "Split" a per-slot option (i think i'm going to add an easier way to apply per-slot options to all slots).

If a property needs an additional parameter, and almost every midi and musical parameter can be expressed in a scale 1-128, AND if Midipads gets 128 pads and each pad gets a value 1-128, creator of this program can claim The White House
As a bonus the plugin becomes perfect for touchscreens, tablet, phones and needs no computer mouse at all.

i understand, sort of, but i won't be thinking about things like that until midiLooper and midiPads are "finished" in their current state...
anyway, fixed the channel slider. there is also a keyboard display at the side of the piano roll, which doesn't do anything yet. download from the same link.

hi
one mini im gonna call this "cosmetic" bug
( or maybe belong to the reaper im not quite sure)
playing position indicator shows the somewhere else sometimes looped area instead.
Honestly i dont care that much ,just want to the let you know.
everything else so far just perfect in reaper64
also crashes issue during drag and drop midi files seems no problem anymore.
Thank you so much!

if the playline is ahead of what you hear, it's probably due to PDC or something... if that's what it is, there is a Reaper-specific function i could use to show the correct time, but i don't think i'll do that at this point, since it would mean calculating the loop time twice and would only work in Reaper.
